NCSDAD how is Seth doing?

Great game UC!! My fears came to reality with the veer. The coaches seem to have made some minor adjustments during the half, but those last two TD's right before half came back to bite us. The better team won tonight and my hats off to the tornadoes!! You guys go and get that gold ball and bring it back to this side of the state!!! Go Eagles!!

good morning guys and Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! I normally don't get my wife involved with all the discussion on these message boards. However, I had to share with her the act of compassion for our fellow message board poster. After we finished reading the latest discussions, we couldn't do anything but shake our heads and smile. The simple act of kindness, especially during this time of year can have an everlasting effect for someone who may be going through a difficult time. what's going Swo, I would agree that most of observations for friday's night game would bold well for any team. However, since i've never seen UC play, I can say that NC can milk the clock if they have to as well. Unfortunately, I can't remember one game this year where we didn't get a personal foul called on us. I just hope our kids don't do it friday night against a team that will take advantage of a senseless penalty. If we somehow would have to become one dimentional, it's going to be a long night. I don't care how good any team can throw a football down the field. If you can't run the rock, you can't win. Now with scoring points off turnovers, I can only recall us not capitalizing one time, and that was against East Nash. Make sure you guys bundle up because NCS sits down off in the country in west nashville. It's going to be a cold, cold night for football. Make sure you UC fans be safe coming and going. Go Eagles!!

Swo, thanks a lot for clearing that up with our problem child. When I saw his comment, I thought immediately it wasn't worth responding to. If saying we need to go to christian mingle, I will gladly take that as a compliment. Go eagles!!!

i wanna say around 5 kids we lost.

JDOGG, we have a player just like that except he doesn't weigh as much as your guy. He's number 52 the leader of our defense. This young man has an engine that keeps on going and going. He's also a four year starter as well. When the nhsn shows the repeat of our game against Columbia Academy, check out the hit he made when they were trying to set up the wide receiver screen. I'm glad the young man he hit was ok because it looked really bad. Go eagles!!

Sounds like a winner to me Swo. We will talk more before the game friday night. My son graduated last year so I'm there because i'm a big fan of football and NCS. I was actually thinking the same thing about one team being finesse (NCS) and you guys play more of a physical style. I must say in their defense that they are capable of playing physical as well. After the beat down we took at Huntingdon last year, our coaches had those guys in the weight room immediately. Last year, I would say we were one dimensional with my son running all over the place. This year is a better squad where they can throw it if they want to not because they have to. I was sitting here trying to think of any "physical" teams we've faced this year. To my knowledge, I think Jo Byrnes and East Nashville was the only two. I just hope our guys are ready to play smash mouth football because that's what its going to come down to. Neither team is ready for basketball season just yet.

I'm hoping that they (our coaches) may consider using a 52 defense. The veer has to be attacked and not waiting for the play to develop. Our defensive ends for sure will have to play and extremely discipline game and the LB's have to stay home and read the dive back.

good morning both UC and NCS fans!! My concern going into this game is our defense. Thus far, we've been able to get solid penetration for most of the season with our 3-5 defense. With UC running the veer, I think we need to have a base defense ready just in case the veer breaks down our 3-5 which I think it will eventually. The offensive side of the ball, coach Brothers has called twelve solid games almost to perfection. I don't see any changes at all. I just hope we're prepared to make needed adjustments if needed. With the veer, there has to be discipline and accountability for our entire defense. Our coaches have their work cut out for them this week. However, the guys will be prepared and ready. Go eagles!!!
