  1. You are certainly correct on your comment. However this year it will be Jacob Blake, Tyler Bush, Jake Sisk, Austin Sampson and a litttle ole running back that may have you wishing we had Boo back lol Its no secret that we lost one of the best offensive lines to come through Huntingdon in a long time. However, good programs find ways to fill those slots year in year out. I have watched both of Huntingdons scrimmages this spring and without a doubt I can say they have kids stepping up and filling the slots well. Remember Terrance, Boo, Chris and both the Warbritton boys all had to step up at some point and lead their teams, no doubt this years team will have the same happen. Fall cant get here quick enough!!!! One game at a time boys!!
  2. Well arent we just quite the football Guru now? Now I'm all about some Mustang Football my friend but we play one game at a time to the best of my knowledge. These kids that are working out in all the different programs will grow tremendously through the summer and you never know what the Fall will bring. I feel good about how our program is right now and they are definately going in the right direction. However, their are some really good football teams out there waiting to smack our boys right in the mouth and our boys have to step up to the plate and take them on. Until we do that, we are all on the same playing field in my eyes.
  3. Wherever they need him to play. Most likely tight end and defensive end.
  4. Ain't no doubt that 2013 will be interesting year for our Stangs. But I gotta feeling they will be a very good team and may have a different look about them. A lot of SPEED coming at everyone next year!
  5. # 81 is my son. He's a junior and as the rest of our team he's a good kid with tremendous heart and pride.
  6. Thanks! We wish yall the best in 2013! Don't count us out in 2013, this team still has alot of heart and a lot of talent coming back next year and for several years to come. Got some size and speed coming up through the system!! 2A is where we like to play ball so we are excited bout next year!
  7. Your crowd was very impressive. Was happy to see your community support your boys so well. As for us, considering its a 3 and half hour drive I think we did quite well. Had they shut down all the schools in our county it would have been just as yours. Everyone we had was just from the town of Huntingdon. Both schools were well represented!! Great atmosphere for sure. My son said it was so loud on the field they couldn't hear Warbritton calling the plays lol
  8. Wow!!! What a awesome video!! Thank you for allowing us to see that!! Class act at NCS !!! We will watch for you next year and wish you luck!!
  9. We have to remember that they are kids. Sometimes they get dejected like that and they ate just frustrated. The Mustangs will definitely do that to you because you know what they are running, you see #29 with the ball but you can't seem to get to him because of his blockers or you can't get him down because his so darn tough. Either way Dad you tell them boys they don't have a thing to be down about, they did well and I personally never saw any quit in your boys! They played hard for 4 quarters. We were simply a better team this year.
  10. Thanks dad and I hope you enjoyed our atmosphere at Paul Ward Stadium. Congrats on a great season and wishing your boys luck next year!! Y'all are a class act!!
  11. Thanks dad! Was pleased to see you fill your stands and your boys put up a good fight. Paul Ward Stadium is a awesome place to play football! We hope this time next week we have another state championship to bring back to it!!
  12. Haha well truth is my friend that they really don't get tired. It's called 12 months of conditioning and lifting weights, eating right and being very dedicated to a program that they believe in. See in this small town west of the river our kids grow up wanting to play mustang football!! They love it and when they become adults their kids love it and that's how you build tradition. When you get sit down on our visitors section and have your coffee in hand I want you to look across the field and really take in what you see! Then tomorrow you come back on here and tell me you don't understand what makes Huntingdon a great place to play football and why WE are ALWAYS a threat to win games and state championships!! We will be loud and proud for 4 quarters and it will intimidate your kids!! Now with that having been said we all realize this is high school football and all the chest bumping we have done all week means nothing on the field. These two teams have busted their tails to get here and are well deserving the admiration of both sides! Praying for no injuries and looking hard for that bag of pixie dust ) go STANGS!!!
  13. I hope you do realize tonight just how good this Huntingdon team really is. Warbritton has taken a few big hits and given big hits all year long yet he's still going. This offensive line and blocking backs will show you what big hits look like tonight! As for your passing game? Well as your QB is running from our defensive ends # 81 and # 50 and LB's #38, #5 his efficiency will fall drastically! All of those boys are fast and their intentions are not good!! Get ready cuz in 8 hours Huntingdon Mustangs are bringing the pain to NCS'S football team!!!
  14. Yep your right Purp! However I think West Tn is definitely gonna be well represented this year. As for NC? Get you basketballs out cuz your football season ends Friday!!! Drive by WC last night and their gym was packed, can't lie, I smiled knowing our boys put them in the gym!!
  15. If you are referring to Huntingdon being the 2nd team going down from the West then you need to put down the bottle cuz you have deffinaty had too much. Not only will NC lose but it's gonna be a beating that your school will not likely forget! These boys smell blood and that's not a good thing!!!
  16. Well mamma always told us to go get what you want cuz ain't nobody gonna give you nothing!! So with that our boys are gonna take this game and then take that gold ball next week! Been a nice run eagles but the buck stops at Paul ward stadium Friday night. Mustangs are brining the pain to your beloved eagles. This won't be for the faint of heart so leave grand mamma and the nanny at the house Friday!
  17. Your right on slowing down. But you didn't stop it. We had the yards but your defense played bend but don't break.
  18. Good! Looking forward to a good clean game!! Lots of good historic games have been played at Paul Ward Stadium.
  19. This is just a FYI for NCS' since you don't know much about our boys. They are a very driven, they play with class, there will not likely be any cheap shots nor none tolerated, they are business like in their demeanor and they simply do their jobs just the way they have been taught. Each kid knows what he's responsible for and they play as a unit. You will most likely see the same handful of plays all night and be scratching your head trying to figure out why your boys can't stop it. I could be wrong but in 13 games (against good teams) Trenton, Milan, Dresden, Union City, West Carroll.... None have stopped it. We believe, our boys believe that this is our year. One game at a time they are making believers out of everyone they play. I'm again praying for injury free game and safe travels to all!!
  20. How bout kickoffs? As far as field position goes you won't get the chance to run many kickoffs back. Our kicker usually puts them thru the end zone. We prolly haven't punted 10 times all year and we will kick a field goal from time to time. Not that we can't, just haven't had to.
  21. How is NCS'S kicking game? You got a pretty good kicker? Field position is huge at this time of year for sure!
  22. I here they are a finess team that relays on speed. NCSdad I'm sure your proud of your school and you should be. But I think what my pal Swo is trying to tell you is that at Paul Ward Stadium we play big boy football and it's gonna be very physical. Our record and history of our program is not a fairy tail. We field good or great football teams year in and year out. Our coach will be the first to tell you that we don't care if you know our plays. We will still run them and make you stop us. So far that hasnt been done. Two teams slowed us down and one of them got a second dose last night and they didn't like it. Hope you enjoy our facilities and we wish you safe travels.
  23. Thanks Swo!! Mustangs keep focused! Let's give them city boys a big warm welcome to Paul Ward Stadium !! No disrespect NC but I doubt you have played a team as physical as Huntingdon!
