Omg!!!! Where have u been the last 15 years? I'm a Jody wright fan from back in the 4-22 seasons. I've known him since elementary school in Campbell county I didn't jump on any bandwagon. Jody is a coach. One that can adapt to the uptempo and beat u 106-51 or play a little slower and just beat you by 3 or 4 points. He's won state championships with talent and with less talent. Once u get to sub state you have to change your game to fit the opponent sometimes and he does that better than anyone I know in this area. I guarantee u one thing if he were at those two schools u mentioned? He'd be very competitive, because he'd coach to the team he has at that moment. And don't even mention home grown crap on this board. Heck Carter has kids that aren't from there so what's your point? He can't help it if a kid wants to come play for him, heck I'd takem too. U are definately a homer, that can't see the forest for the trees! Carter is average at best. Oh, and I wasn't there but u don't have to go to every game to know what's going on. All I ever hear from you Carter guys are were sick, were hurt, the bus driver sprung an ankle, wha, wha, wha!!!

C'mon uptempo. How can u say they outplayed them for four quarters? Thay were out scored 23-9 in fourth. That alone should tell u something. Quit drinking the Kool aide. Jody wright is one of the exceptional coaches in the state. To compare Carter's coach to him is just ignorant.

Well, another crazy night like Friday and OR should clinch Tuesday night.

Yea good week but criticism is warranted IMO. He's had more talent than alt of teams last four seasons, but is averaging about 7 wins per season. Classic under acheaver. IMO.

Well thanks anyway. Lol. The officiating was also terrible at CC tonight. The just won't call a charge!! Bodies laying everywhere and no call. So it is what it is. CC had it going pretty good then just went plain cold from the floor. Would've been nice to get that one. Saw a lot of old freinds in the big crowd. Gibbs Tuesday.

Man, u are definately one of those knoll aide drinkers Mattj was talking about. I'd say Gibbs is as "country " as Davey Crockett and they beat Carter! Ur not impressed by a team yet that is 12-2, ranked in top 10 in state and beat Carter by 55 points? C'mon Man! Their 7-0 in your district. There not even in the top ten in Knoxville area. I said on the other Carter thread that when u run this gimmick system, you usually do it to cover up a bunch of deficiencies. And that seems to be the case with Carter. They kill the really bad teams with their athleticism and lose vs teams that can play a bit of defense. All I ever hear from Carter fans on here when they lose is they were without this player or that player, or the pa announcer was sick, or the bus was cold, or any other excuse. Heck I'm a CC fan and we've battled sickness and everything else but you don't see me over on the 3AAA thread making excuse!! Top ten in Knoxville area are IMO. No particular order Oak ridge Fulton Bearden Maryville Jeff co Grace Webb Catholic Morristown east Harriman/ Meigs county. After these teams I'd put Oak ridges Jv team in the mix. Their better than Carter.

LOL. No way!!! Best in East Tennessee is Oak, bearden, and davey Crockett. Carter isn't even in the top 20 best teams in East Tennessee !!! IMO.

Lol. Yes they are. I love it!!! AC lost to central, Powell lost to karns and puts CC in the drivers seat if they can take care of business. This is a wired season to say they least. CC has been playing really well winning a few home games vs halls and AC, really just dominating them, then lose to Gap tonight? Just crazy. Bet we didn't shout 25% from floor. Got a much improved central team at home Friday. Halls is dangerous if they get to hitting some of those crazy shots, just gotta hope there off I guess.

Yea didn't mean to slight coach Barnes. Guess I got spoiled with that tedious, methodical, defense for everything that Ogan did. I don't really know Barnes but seems like a good guy and I'm sure he'll do fine at Powell as their younger kids were very good in middle school. Change is hard sometimes and every coach wants their footprint on their team, and I'm sure he's no different. I'm actually going to go back and edit my post on this.

Yes CCproud, the crowds are still good at CC. The coaches and players have done a good job getting people to games. The kid your talking about is Jacob McGuire, sophomore, just returned from broken wrist. CC plays a bunch of freshman and sophomores. I was told they don't have a junior on the team. So after Toress and Gillenwater graduate, I think their in pretty good shape for 3-4 years. Not OR shape, but enough to compete with anyone. They will prolly have two 6-5" sophomores starting next year. That huge in our district, along with the jackson kid, Reese and the talented 8th graders coming up. I look for the berry kid from Lafollette to see a lot of minutes next year as a freshman at point guard. I also like the ceremony before the game recognizing Torres for joining the 1000 point club for his career. It was a big week for him, also being named first team all state in football. I heard Gillenwater is very close to the 1000 point too. Rare to have 2 guys join club in same season.

Yes Chill, with two wins over AC and a win at Gibbs, CC should really pulling for AC Friday night. It's prolly going to come down to a lot of tie breakers and wins over those upper teams should help CC if it came to that. CC can't slip up vs central or halls late in season, as I don't see Gibbs or AC or even karns, losing to either of those two. The loss at Clinton on a last second three may end up being a thorn in cc's side.

yes I'd say you guys go undefeated. I David early on that we were all playing for second place. Were all pretty close 2-9. As for surprises and disappointments? AC for sure in the surprise. Wallace has done a good job with the team. His out of conference was a way to teach them how to win again and they should be proud. Gibbs? I'm personally not surprised. I said early on this thread they'd be the most improved team in district. They could finish second, but yes that would be a surprise. CC ? About right were I thought. If they finish higher than 4th, they'd be a surprise. If they finish strong on their home stand they could finish 2nd or 3rd. That'd be a surprise. Powell? Might be a little of a disappointment, but they are being hit really hard with injuries. Not just injuries, but key injuries, if they finish higher than 4th their lucky. Karns? About right what I thought, along with Clinton. To me, central is the biggest disappointment. Halls I'd close, but I thought central was going to turn the corner this year, in Higgins 4th season, 3 wins at this point is not where they should be. Halls started the season off with players on suspension and just don't seem to have gelled. Players jawing each other, coach with son as player can be rough. Plus coaching both the girls and boys all these years could be taking its mental toll.
