  1. Looks like the CPA - Goodpasture game in Week 0 will be a pretty good game with both teams tied at #4. Who is Goodpasture replacing Keenan Reynolds with at QB?
  2. I wish Coach Wharton and Vic all the best. I always enjoyed talking with Coach Wharton.
  3. BPM. I agree. I don't think you can rank CPA higher than CAK, Alcoa or Milan at this point. (except Mitchell the QB went down not Wharton -- Wharton did return a 85-90 yard fumble recovery in the first half for a TD in the Milan game). CPA defense did a pretty good job and most of the defense is returning this year. I enjoyed your posts during the playoffs last year and would love to host you guys this year.
  4. As a CPA parent, I would like this to be true, but I don't think you can put CPA tied with CAK and ahead of Alcoa and Milan. Also, Pearl-Cohn is going to be loaded this year and they proved that they can handle teams like Smith County in the past few years. I would put PC up to at least 4 (maybe a tie with CPA). Just my two cents.
  5. Dawg44 - CPA #21 says to bring home the Gold ball. He says you two were up against each other all night last Friday. Best of luck.
  6. I can't speak about the radio announcer, but I've never heard a PA announcer actually lead the home team cheers. Not just a hearty home team announcement, but getting on and cheering go,go,go......
  7. It was good to see Craig Bradshaw back tonight in CPA win against Station Camp. Best surprise of the early season is the play of Brandon Cook who has recovered from ACL tear last year. I think he had about 16 points tonight. Deadly from three point line and some nice drives to the basket.
  8. Players to watch for CPA include #12 Sam Cranford preseason all state WR/safety #8 Hunter Thurley TE/OLB/tackle. Both were invited to play in the East - West All Star game. #10 Winston Williams RB/S, #4 Vic Wharton Ath./return specialist. Defense standouts include # 41 Glen Fleenor LB,#6 Sam Landers LB, #72 James Elliott tackle, #21 Robert Brown OLB, and #22 Chase Smith CB.
  9. Thanks. My wife is from a nearby town. I've experienced a lot of West Tennessee class in my time and expect we will be treated well. Interesting fact about the stadium. Thanks. The word here is that it will be packed out.
  10. I've been a long time reader of Coach T but haven't posted. My son plays for CPA and we are looking forward to playing at Milan on Friday. You guys have a great tradition and a great program. Good luck to both teams. If they each play their best, it will be a great game.
