Many of you are wondering what in the heck happened to the west offense last night and why it was so disfunctional and choppy, piling up numerous false starts, illegal procedures, and fumbled snaps. Well, the main reason for this was that the powell defense, particularly the noseguard, was shouting the west snap count all night long, which is illegal. For those of you, like phatcat, that think this is some phony excuse you all are very mistaken. To prove it, the refs finally called in our favor in the 3rd quarter when they called the encroachment against the noseguard after he drew the whole oline offsides. Besides, being the 14th game of the season why else would an experienced oline and center jump offsides and snap the ball randomly. I'm not saying that if this didn't happen it would have changed the outcome of the game, but it would have made it a fair playing field.
