  1. Seymour and Grainger don't play until tonight...so idk what win margin you are looking at unless you are basing it on their schedules. Not saying Seymour is going to win, but their schedule hasn't necessarily been weak. Everyone has weak teams on their schedule at some point but Seymour has lost two games by a margin of 3 total points to Farragut and Heritage. Grainger is a AA school, and although they may be good...they definitely haven't played the level of teams Seymour has. I'll definitely be at this game though.
  2. I think Seymour girls get a win at Cherokee tonight, but It's a tough place to play. Probably one of the nicer venues in the area. Seymour boys will probably come away with a loss.
  3. Just looking at their schedule, I don't see much for competition other than maybe the GP and I know Cosby is usually a pretty good A school...but if Seymour can keep the balance inside and out like they have lately, they are tough for anyone to handle. Seymour defends well, and puts a lot of pressure on the ball...with a good press game. I think thats the difference between this year and last year with Seymour, more pure shooters and more physicality on the inside. Moving the ball a lot better on offense now as opposed to the first few games.
  4. I see Grainger is unbeaten but they are also a AA team so I'm not sure who they have played. I'm excited about this one either way. Should be fun.
  5. Seymour travels to Grainger next Monday...could be one of the better games in the state that night...any opinions on this one?
  6. I would think Seymour is the favorite to win this tournament...but I'm not sure how these other teams are especially the tri city area teams. I hear Dobyns Bennett is playing well.
  7. It wasn't pretty, but Seymour picks up a big win at Morristown West tonight. Any time you can go on the road and get a win in IMAC...especially at West...it's a good win.
  8. Does anyone know which girls teams are playing in this other than Seymour and Sullivan South....
  9. Oliver Springs traveled to Seymour last Saturday and looked very solid. I think Seymour ended up winning by 9, but O.S. is a very solid team. I think they would be more potent if they had an inside threat....also, they missed at least 20 free throws. If someone can get into a free throw battle with them then they have a chance.
  10. Seymour had 2 girls dressing out for the first time of their seasons against farragut and still werent full strength. I just dont think Farragut is as impressive as people talk, I was worried after reading everything on here before actually seeing them play...but after the fact, im not sold. I still think Heritage is by far more balanced and deadly than Farragut....unless im missing something.
  11. Seymour defeats South Doyle tonight by 24...slow start for the Eagles but they picked it up in the 4th. A very balanced scoring effort by the Lady Eagles. SD guarded the perimeter well, but I think the difference this year is that Seymour is more balanced inside and outside and can get it done both ways. Junior guard Lexi Justus had 16 pts and possibly double figures in rebounds and over 5 steals. As to the question about Seymour playing any more teams from the other region....they might meet up with some of those teams in the Honda tournament at Daniel Boone starting Dec 26....although i'm not sure as to who else is in this tournament.
  12. Seymour beat Sullivan south pretty handily last year in first round of region, so unless they have some transfers or great freshman, i don't see them being ahead of west or Seymour. I also saw that west lost to Hampton and then Hampton lost to someone average the next night. Seymour's two losses have both been decided in the last ten seconds of the game. Heritage and Farragut. Two of the better teams around. IMO.
  13. Farragut beat Seymour by two. Seymour had the lead the entire game until the last 2 seconds when Seymour turned the ball over during a full court press. In my opinion, Farragut is a little bit overrated. I honestly think Heritage with their outside weapons and a great sophomore post will win that dist over Farragut. In the IMAC ive got 1. Seymour 2. West or Cocke County 3. < one of those 4. Sevier County...the rest a toss up. Seymour wasnt healthy for the first few games and are now starting to become full strength again. Should be a good season.
  14. Seymour over William Blount tonight 15-2.
  15. Where can a list of all region and all conf players be found??
  16. Have to throw Seymour in the mix. Very talented and well coached.
  17. Id also like to say how proud I am of Lexi Justus from Seymour who battled against Science Hill last night.
  18. Im not slamming Seymour? Im very proud of Seymour, i was just saying we should be in this situation but we let it slip. You read that the wrong way, but thats ok..be immature. Trotters...lol
  19. Seymour would be playing SH in the region ship if they woulda held a 7 pt lead against East. I think SH will beat East by more than they beat Seymour last night. I think East is a bit overrated, especially to be an older team starting mostly seniors.
  20. Doubt ill pick that up in this area. Anyone streaming online?
  21. Will there be a radio station broadcasting this game? I wont make it to this game, as we play Farragut middle today.
  22. True, but this is a way different Seymour team now. SH will win but idt it will be as bad as people think.
  23. I know SH will be more talented, but I think this game is close until 4th quarter and Seymours lack of depth is what catches up to them in the end, unfortunately : ( SH by 12.
  24. Well sounds like it should be a good game. Similar records. With the exception of a few games i think Seymour prob had a tougher schedule and were actually without their two seniors for a while.
  25. Seymour plays well at home but i know nothing about sully south...predictions? Also, what time is this game?
