  1. Seymour is playing great ball at the right time. Defense is playing well and they're getting good innings out of everyone they put on the mound. Big semi final game today in a rematch with Brentwood.
  2. Will these games be streamed anywhere? Radio or live video? Thanks in Advance.
  3. I don't think any team has a chance against Science Hill...at least not from East Tn...what is Science Hill's weakness, if any? Morristown East is loaded with talent and could very easy make a run in the region...they seem to play as a different team in the postseason. It is likely that West and SH will meet again...but Mo West has zero shot against Science Hill. I have not seen Science Hill this year...but that will change friday when the lady eagles go there for region round 1. On the other hand, I have seen Mo West play, plenty this year...and If you guard the perimeter against them, they lose their bread and butter. They have a good three point shooter in Potts, BUT...that is the ONLY thing she can do. She doesn't handle the ball well, and she can't knock down the three ball unless she is all alone. If a team takes away their outside, they are done. Simmerly is overrated at the post, and gets out hustled by most other teams. Jeff County will be a tough out, tougher than people give them credit for. They do their jobs well on the floor, and they have hustle players at every position, and can get it down the floor quick with Dotson and the other guard. Seymour can play with Science Hill, IF they don't go in with their heads down from the beginning and stay composed. I do think Science Hill wins, but I think Seymour can keep it close for the first half. Let's fill up the tank and head to the Hill. Good luck to everyone in regionals. This will be my final posting, as my sister will graduate this year and I'll no longer have a dog in the fight. I've enjoyed every minute of it, and I want to congratulate her on being an all conference pick this year in the IMAC. #20 Lexi Justus, Seymour Lady Eagles. GO LADY EAGLES!
  4. only one senior this year...if seymour can find a true point guard next year they should bounce back just fine.
  5. Anyone could have beaten Seymour the past month...they fell apart.
  6. Obviously top 4 go to region, how would it be seeded after that?
  7. Eh, the officiating was pretty even all night. Graingers guard was less than impressive to me, pretty quick...but isnt a shutdown defender and is pretty much one dimensional on the offensive side of the ball. When she drives to the basket she goes left, any other time she will start right and kick it to someone. ive seen the injured guard play before...the little blonde, now she is impressive. I do think grainger will go to state only bc theyre in AA, but i also havent seen any other AA teams play.
  8. As I stated after the seymour at grainger game that it would be closer when grainger came to seymour, i was right. great game last night going into imac tourny play. Seymour controlled the game until about the last five minutes made a few mistakes but ultimately a much better effort all around by the lady eagles.
  9. Don't get me wrong, I think Seymour has a good coaching staff...but I'm just stunned as to what has happened over the past couple of weeks. This team has done a complete 180. Went from 12-3 to now 13-9 and on the brink of being middle of the pack come tourney time. They are too talented and capable for this to be happening, as a coaching staff and as a team.
  10. Morristown West and Grainger will have a field day at Seymour if this keeps up.
  11. And another loss to a pretty weak Morristown East for Seymour. Things are only getting worse. I won't miss any games, but it gets old driving to these places to see such a talented team get out coached and play so poorly. I think everyone would agree, whether its a conference game against an 0-10 team or against a 10-0 team...you put your best 5 on the floor and go for the kill off the bat. Why mess with lineups and let the weaker teams stick around and beat you...hard to understand.
  12. well Seymour has gone from being #1 in the conference to #3 in a matter of two weeks, in those two weeks...the starting lineup has been changed. not sure the plan of the coach but theres no reason to change a lineup when youre winning games...seymour had 8 turnovers in the first three minutes against sevier county...if it aint broke, dont fix it. seymour has a slim to none chance if this starting lineup stays this way.
  13. Seymour lost to an improved Cocke County team Monday night. Seymour is lacking focus, leadership, and most of all, any spark or intensity whatsoever. Everyone is just out there going through the motions...not sure what to think...looks like a three way tie at the top now and if Seymour keeps up this play, they will find themselves at a 2 or 3 seed come tournament time. Hope something changes and someone steps up quick.
  14. Do these two teams not play tomorrow? IF they are playing...when and where is this game?
