  1. Facebook Friends, If you haven't already, please go to the Facebook page of my Grandson, (Brandon Ingram) & Like his page and listen to his original music.

  2. I would strongly recommend the tournaments stay in Middle Tn. to alleviate any hardships on West Tn. and East Tn. The ideal location with geographic area being decided would be M.T.S.U. which is the exact center of the State. T.S.S.A.A. already has it's Basketball Finals there and at one time the Football finals there.
  3. Attended the afternoon session of the State Tournament at the HYDER BURKS pavilion. First my hats are off to all the volunteers who under took such a huge tournament. When I drove up to the venue I was amazed at all the cars and when I stepped inside Hyder Burks I was in awe at the huge crowd of people. The first thing i noticed besides the crowd was the announcer screaming at the top of his voice into huge loudspeakers turned up to maximum capacity. It was deafning and my family was asking for ear plugs. The next thing I noticed was the tiny monitors on the scoring tables, they were so small you could not see the scores from the stands. The next thing was the screen at one end of the stadium, which the bouts and mat numbers for the wrestlers was not legible. If you didn't have an IPhone to pull up the venue and bouts for the wrestlers, there was no way to know when it was time for them to wrestle. Then, the most disappointing thing of all was traveling a long distance and were totally unable to see our grandsons matches because all of his bouts were on the mats against the wall opposite the stands. The mats were 3 deep and there was no way to view them due to the distance and the people who had no business walking around between mats and conversing. I have attended wrestling tournaments for several years all over the state of Tn. and THIS IS THE WORST VENUE FOR A WRESTLING TOURNAMENT THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! The mats I feel were totally inadequate for wrestling, they were so very thin, that one of the mats kept pulling apart and they were having the remove the top cover and adjust the squares. I feel this is probably a great venue for livestock exibition and rodeos, but not for a wrestling tournament!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
  4. Will management of this tournament do a better job of controlling the Media Circus that followed two kids in the Regional at Dixon? Who do you contact to inform them of the spectacle it caused at Dixon.
  5. I was fortunate to attend the Region 5 tournament in Dixon this weekend. It was well run and was well attended. The refs did a great job from what I saw. The only complaint I have was the large . camera crew that followed 2 of the wrestlers. I felt this was very disruptive and they were rude standing in front of of parents trying to watch their children participate. I thought this was an event to focus on all the young wrestlers to determine who goes to the State. What it turned out to be was a media Circus about one family. All of our children are equally important and I feel the officials of this tournament dropped the ball by allowing this to happen. We all enjoy filming our children in these events but were constantly having to compete with a large camera crew to find a place to video. I am sure the children competing with these 2 kids must have felt ignored. The cameras did not affect the outcome of the matches, but certainly was disruptive and a total nuisance!!
