  1. Who else is disappointed that Elite Wrestling Academy opened there big mouths during the season-saying they were going to have legit NCAA champions, Olympic champs, and legendary coaches at a resident camp this summer. Again, they could not produce it back up what they said. They have settled on having NCAA qualifiers at best. And ewa think they can run a national type tourney. What a joke ewa is
  2. TeamTN-the PM finals were showcased in a similar fashion as those who were scrambling to put the mats up and be able to leave the arena by 2:00 AM. The morning finals were showcased very well. The venue was good. It would of been nice to have had both sides stair casings open. The refs did a decent job. From what I hear...the hospitality room could of provided dinner since the kids were still wrestling around 10:00 PM, but was otherwise great. The medals and plaques were really nice. It would of been nice to have all 6 kids up on the stand rather than 1-2 of the kids
  3. I also thought the tournament leaders (the bald headed big guy particularly) were rude and disrespectful to some of the questions and concerns that they were faced with.
  4. I was able to watch the finals of the first session and thought the annoucements/commentary was good and showed the kids a great deal of their much deserved respect. However, the afternoon finals was awful. Everyone was in a rush. The annoucements/commentary during the finals did not exist. Everyone acted like "Hey, its 9:30, its late, who cares that this kid or your kid is in the finals, lets get it over with...and lets put away some of the mats while some of the finals matches are still going on".
  5. We need to reach out to the local coaches who may originally be from top teir wrestling states (IA, KS, MN, PA, MO, AL, OK) and see if they have contacts that could help draw kids from their states. Are there any coaches in our area from these respected states?
  6. I think Arlington knew that they could pull the tourney off but didn't want to put up an argument between clubs on who's getting the tourney. But-Arlington stepped up and knocked the tourney out of the park.
  7. Chevylover-I agree. the TV show crew for the Great American Country (GAC) channel/network was very disruptive and disrespectful to the other kids/families at the tourney. They were there to film the Willis Clan: a family with 12 kids. The dad was the guy who started Real Pro wrestling a few years back that didn't last, but just 2 years. The family acquired 100 million dollars from the state of IL when Toby Willis' (the dad) siblings were killed in a car wreck. The driver of the truck (who was respinsible) got his CDL from the the Governors shady CDL for sale scheme. The 12 kids are into singing and dancing...winning national and world titles. Then there are the 2 of the 12 that are great wrestlers.
  8. Leave it to EWA and Wave parents to cause chaos. Very expectant from EWA.....they see how the EWA head coach acts on the mat and think they have to out-do his arrogant actions.

  11. If we are going to step up our wrestling in Tennessee, we need to create a National tourney for our kids. What clubs in the Memphis area would be fitting to host/lead a big time tourney?
  12. Looking for a wrestling tournament with good clinicians. Our wrestling community has to find someone better than JS. After costing his team the chance of state, he should consider staying home this summer.
  13. CKNETT- Are you smoking some of that hash? Memphis area refs are much better then what were working Saturday. Leave it to the blue shirt refs to screw calls up.
  14. NAINTEN- It's always good to have a secure location in mind AND at least 1-2 back-up locations in your pocket when you come to the table.
