Beat the breaks off of? Based on the regular season split? Based on the last 9 games where the Trojans are 3-6 (3-3 in district games) and Eagles are 6-3 (5-1 in district games)? Head to head won by total of 9 points? I am not saying that it won't happen because Collinwood is a good team, especially if Ray gets it going from the perimeter and considering that Littlejohn is a tough matchup for Summertown, but without a little more input, I would say neither team will "beat the breaks" of the other. Have you seen the girls district games??? Anything is possible on a neutral court come tourney time.

I was surprised that Wayne County ran almost the entire clock out and took a 3 with about 9 seconds left. They started out the game hitting some 3's but they definitely wasn't falling in the second half.. On that last possession, I would have bet money that were going to Rice in the post, considering they were only down by 2. Good game.

Summertown, Loretto and Collinwood may have a slight advantage since they all played at Lawrence County this year.

I believe it starts Feb. 9th.... Collinwood plays at Lawrence County Feb. 5th which could also be beneficial to them.

Summertown is the "host", but I guess because of the size of their gym. It will be played at Lawrence County High School. That gym has a different feel and shooting may be affected.

With the end of regular season closing in, I am anxious to see how the neutral court affects the tournament.

Could be some movement in the district standings with these last few games ahead. I also wonder how the neutral court for the tourney will affect the teams.

Summertown is in 2nd place in the district with the win against Wayne County tonight.

The kid from PC that I think you are talking about was #22, he had a very good game. He is a tall kid that has a long wing span. He is the one that dunked on us twice at their place.

First, the referee called the lane violation on #34 I believe. He was standing right on the 3 point line when Scott was shooting his free throws, and he crossed the 3 point line on the release. Each team had a technical at bad times which helped the other team, PC pulled within 1 on the FT's # 22 hit. Both of those technicals were for a players questioning or should I say disagreeing with a call. Gotta have poise in games of this type. Close game which should have been expected. After PC chipped away, I feel like their post players got going in the third quarter. You cannot beat the atmosphere of high school basketball games like this one tonight.

As expected, with the youth that Summertown is playing with, it's a roller coaster ride. They look as if they can play with anyone around and then the next quarter struggle to score at all. Growing pains, but they are fortunate to be playing heavy minutes during their freshmen year, not sure anyone is excited about playing them the next few years. Having 8/9 players that could stay together for 4 years is often not seen, especially in A basketball.

Should be a good game to watch. Seems that PC is off to a good start. They may not be big but they are tough. Summertown does not have a new coach (the boys team has new coach, former Eagle Wes long). Summertown is young, 9 freshmen on the roster. They have been starting 4 freshman and 1 junior. With so many young players, Summertown will have their ups and downs but should pay off later in the season and seasons to come.

Summertown lost 1 player from last year and gained a junior that will add speed and athleticism to the team. Under new coach Wes Long, he has instilled a hard work ethic that Summertown has been know for in the past and a new basketball philosophy should have them getting better throughout the season and hopefully throughout the tournament.

Summertown did have 2 players quit from last years team, 1 that would have started this year for sure. The 2 transfers mentioned are freshmen this year and makes their freshmen class very deep, especially for 1A. The improvement seen from the start of summer camps to the end of camp trend should continue throughout the season making for a possible tough matchup come tourney time. The future looks bright for the Lady Eagles.

Summertown has played better the last few games, but not sure if they can go into PC and beat them with revenge being a hugh factor.

Summer is done for the year and Claire just returned and play against Collinwood. Summer is a big lose,but this Summertown team plays 9-10 players so if everyone steps up this will be a dangerous team come tournament time. They play an aggressive style defense that puts alot of pressure on the other team the entire game.
