What does it matter to you jerry Pujo, Josh King , Oliver CUDA69 where they scrimmage. The only reason you all care is so you can critisize the new coach and the program. I am reading about all the support for the program what have you all did productive for the program latley?. I bet you all cant name one thing you have done for the program. I love how you all can talk it up about the program when in fact you all are just full of it. Pujo why does it matter what the truth is about the hiring? You keep saying the truth will come out why does it matter. The truth is Mike was offered the job and he turned it down. Randy will do a great job with the football team. Jealousy is the devil. Keep your nose in hampton where you chose to be.

My top 5 would be. 1.Coach Smitty-In House,Very well known in the community has had alot of success being an assistant with the boys under John English 2.Todd Whittemore-Johnson County head coach,has probably got more out of his team based on their talent than any coach in the conference.He's a really good players coach with alot of patience. 3.Kenneth Chambers-Former Unaka head Coach,Assistant at Cloudland for 2 years,Very good knowledge about the game and he know's how to win in big games. 4.James Buchannan-Head coach at North Greene,Applied for last years position and has a real good resume with what he has done at North Greene. 5.Jordan Simmons-In House,Assistant girls coach this year,did a good job with the middle school boys program 2 years ago and has great knowledge about the game.

Any rumor that Epperson might be leaving Unicoi?

Cloudland has a 6'2 D1 prospect in Brooke Rhodes along with 5'11 sophmore Courtney Wilson and a 5'3 sharp shooting point guard Courtney Clark.A very well coached and diciplined team that will guard your eyes out for 4 quarters.They have 2 good seniors in Hughes and Miller as well who shoot the basketball very good from the outside. I could see them giving Clay County a fit inside with Wilson and Rhodes but even a bigger fit if the Clark kid is firing on all cylinders from the outside.

Clay County is going to have their hands full stopping Rhodes and Wilson in the paint,However I could see Clay County giving Cloudland trouble with their aggressive style of play on defense and ability to attack the goal off the dribble. Both these teams are very battle tested schedule wise, and If I am not mistaked Clay County about beat Jackson County at Jackson so that shows you Clay County nor anybody is an easy draw. I am just going to go out on a limb though and say Cloudland by 2,I think their inside game is just too much for Clay County to deal with for 4 quarters,and with their size alone in the paint they will take away alot of 2nd chance opportunities for Clay County. I will make some predictions for the 1st round to get this train a rolling. Penetration is going to get a whole lot tougher for Cosby tonight,Cloudland has to much scoring pound for pound.If Cosby doesnt shoot the ball well from the outside than this could get ugly quick,because half the shots Lowry got the other night she wont get tonight.

Rhodes went for 27 and 15 against Hampton tonight.

If you havent seen the Rhodes girl from Cloudland play you are missing a show,No doubt in my mind will she be a mrs basketball finalist. 6'2 Junior very highly recruited on the D2 and D1 level.

Cloudland is as good as advertised,They are 20-3 with a Class A #5 ranking for a reason.I saw their schedule and there is no cupcakes outside of maybe 1 or 2 teams so everything they have accomplished so far they have earned. Are they a legit contender for a state title? Yes In my opinion, They have good post play when the Wilson girl isnt her own worst enemy,They guard you in the halfcourt and they have guards that knock down outside shots,And not to mention the best post player in this whole entire area in Brooke Rhodes and to go further down the line a top 5 post player in the state of Class A. Cloudland is Cloudlands own worst enemy,I honestly dont see them losing another game until the state tournament. Just not enough calibur of teams in this region nor the other region to give them a game.

I agree Unicoi had a tough holiday stretch over at Daniel Boone.I have come to the conclusion that Edwards has to play lights out about ever game especially against a good team if Unicoi is going to compete down the road.I believe the key to them getting back on the right track is Thompson and Gardner becoming more officiant on the offensive end if you dont get nothing out of those two kids they are going to have a hard time winning. As for Cloudland anybody who watched them play against West pretty much saw what you have to do to slow them down offensively.Double team Rhodes keep Wilson in check and make their guards beat you,And of course attack them offensively on the inside. Elizabethton is finding ways to win,And got great guard play out of Morgan Depew all tournament long.Still not sold on Unaka they have a long ways to go defensively before they can ever compete against North Greene,Cloudland or Hampton. Johnson County keeps getting better and almost beat AAA David Crockett. Hamptons role players stepped up in a big way against Unicoi showing how much potential they have to make Hampton a better basketball team in the WVC along with Dorthy. Cant wait to see the Cloudland and Hampton series along with the Unicoi and Elizabethton game at Elizabethton,Because I know all coaches will be making a few adjustments over the holiday break
