  1. Actual assignment in my history class: "Would you rather be a Spartan or an Athenian? Write at least one page explaining your answer." What's next, a finger painting of our favorite president?

  2. Who the heck decided 8:00 pm was an appropriate time to announce the Ferguson decision?

  3. In 2012, Facebook made more than $1 billion dollars and paid no federal corporate tax. In fact, they actually *received* $429 MILLION in tax rebates. But yeah, Obama is insane for ordering that federal employees make a livable wage. Please. The real welfare moochers aren't people

  4. Clemon wears the wrong orange, but hot darn it felt good to watch OSU fall...again

  5. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A COMPUTER, YOU WOULD KNOW HOW TO TURN OFF CAPS LOCK
  6. Just re-watched the match (still up on TSSAA website). The ref in question is not what you would call, how do I say this, "competent," or "good at his job," or "fully functioning mentally." He calls stalling on Moseley (which he'd previously called a stalemate multiple times in the same match), but in overtime the EXACT. SAME. THING. happens and the call isn't stalling anymore, but stalemate again. I'm gonna have to agree with a previous poster and say that reftn must be said referee, because there is no other way to justify sticking up for such a joke of an official. Garbage call, inconsistent reffing = spotlight stolen from two of the best wrestlers in the state. Shame on him; I hope he feels the scorn and derision that this call has generated for years to come
  7. Does the top man not have to improve his position? Is he allowed to sprawl and grab an ankle and sit on top? Why was Mosely punished for continually pushing the match? Back up your buddy all you want, and I'm sure in previous matches he demonstrated an understanding of the rules, but he screwed that call up bad. "Spirit" of the rules would hold that a kid attempting a legitimate shot and in the process got sprawled on would not be hit with stalling.
  8. Champions are made in the finals, but consolations can win tournaments for you, and Father Ryan's "first or third" motto came through in a big way tonight. Michael Hooker, TJ Holmes, and Ricky Fisher strung together three straight finals wins for the Irish, who bounced back from a bad loss to Christian Brothers in the duals to win convincingly tonight. Congratulations to the Irish Team Scores: Father Ryan 268.50 Baylor 236 McCallie 228.50 Christian Brothers 228 106 - Elijah Oliver (Christian Brothers) 113 - Alex Elsea (McCallie) 120 - Adam Connell (McCallie) 126 - Zach Watson (Baylor) 132 - Brandon Brunner (Baylor) 138 - Alex Ward (McCallie) 145 - Kaleb Baker Christian Brothers) 152 - Matthew Cate (Baylor) 160 - Eiot Berz (McCallie) 170 - Michael Hooker (Father Ryan) 182 - T.J Holmes (Father Ryan) 195 - Ricky Fisher (Father Ryan) 220 - Amos Mason (Brentwood Academy) 285 - Tye Youngblood (McCallie)
  9. What the heck was that stalling call on Moseley about? Stalling on a shot?? All I saw Cole do was move and shoot, I don't think the McCallie kid ever did either, and he gets hit with stalling after his third consecutive shot? Unbelievable
