  1. WOW what a game (DCA vs ECS). DCA led most of the first half and ECS led most of the second, but it was very close the whole way. ECS's size was amazing! THeir biggest three are 6'9", 6'7", and 6'5" with a couple of other guys over 6'. It was a tough night on the board for DCA to say the least. ECS had the ball late with the game tied at 36. ECS missed a shot with about 6 seconds to go. DCA got the rebound with 3.1 seconds to play and called timeout. DCA was actually able to get a pretty good shot off, but it didn't fall. ECS got the tip in the first OT and held it the whole way. THey missed a last second shot. Still tied at 36 after the first OT. DCA got the tip starting the second OT hit a three and never looked back, running the lead out by as much as 8. THe final was DCA 44 ECS 39 in double OT. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 1OT 2OT DCA 13 23 25 36 36 44 ECS 8 20 28 36 36 39
  2. They are playing great basketball. The way i see it, it's been tough defense, sharing the ball, hitting open shot, and a kid named Carson Outlaw (tourney MVP) that has been their recipe. I'm sure fairplaybyall would say it was refs.
  3. It was a close game all the way. DCA tied it up (41 to 41) with about 35 seconds when Josh Erickson was fouled taking a three pointer and hit 2 of the 3 free throws. JE fouled a FRA player with about 30 sec to play. FRA missed both free throws. DCA took a couple of shot when Colin Johnston got a rebound and got fouled going up for a layup with 1.2 seconds to play. CJ missed the first and hit the second free throw to give DCA their 1 point victory 42 to 41. 1st 2nd 3rd Final DCA 17 24 32 42 FRA 15 29 35 41
  4. You were right about the Know Web FRA game, it was FRA with the win in OT. I didn't see it , but understand the score was 8 to 4 at the half. In the other game it was DCA with the big win. DCA led wire to wire. They were up by 11 at the end of the first. USN cut it to nine a couple of times, but it was DCA with a 12 to 16 point lead almost the whole way. The final was DCA 57 USN 47. Hopefully we will have a good final between DCA and FRA tonight.
  5. I would have to agree USN should be a slight favorite, but if DCA is playing well they will have a good shot to win. Do you know if the USN vs Webb score from a couple of weeks ago is correct (USN 25 Webb school 82)? If that score is correct there has to be some kind of story behind that game. I'm sure fairplaybyall will not be as interested since HIS Ezell Eagles wont be playing.
  6. I have to agree with "smoke" and others it was a poorly officiated game. Ezell's Jenkins flopped 4 times with barely any contact, and DCA was called for fouls each of those times. DCA was called for more fouls then Ezell until the last couple of minutes when Ezell stared intentially fouling. DCA had a player foul out just like Ezell did. You are righ again "smoke" Ezell was carrying the ball all night with nothing called. Come to think of it the refs probably did cost DCA 20 point. DCA should have won by 40. I'm pretty sure fairplaybyall is either the Ezell parent/fan that got thrown out of the gym last month at DCA or one of the blind officials that were calling that game.
