  1. i know basketball was a big reason why 10AA wanted CPA out of here because we all know over here in 10AA that they recruit in one way or another, whether its legal or not. the next year after they got beat in region a couple years ago by greenbier, bradshaw (who was at greenbrier and their easily best scorer) moved all the way down to CPA and went there. alot of the teams were petitioning from playing them next year from what i have heard. which is why they decided to leave. I could be wrong, but this is what i have heard from a couple of people.
  2. how about the defending state champs who are also going back to state again this year and all their starters are juniors and younger and east has produced many good-great teams recently and not to mention maplewood about 2 years ago. I did not say toughest, because i know there are other districts that I don't know much (if anything) about and heads up CPA is headed to Cheatham county's district next year i believe.
  3. AMEN! i have seen them played last year and this year. i personally think the freshman(blackwell) has been playing better than lindsey lately. i also think allsmiller has to start hitting more consistently from 3 or they will lose in state.
  4. in my opinion its been one of THE toughest districts in the state the past couple of years. i know for a fact that teams in 8 and 9th in this district who beat or almost beat teams that are first in other districts.
  5. CPA should have the same post game as they did last year, but the only really improved player from last year that I have noticed is Legate. everyone else seems to be the same basically.
  6. thats how CPA has been compared to last year lately! (i mean the out of sorts part and missed free throws)
  7. you would think they would have gotten better, but i have been watching them and i would disagree CPA team is definitely playing worse than last year and Legate is the only one that seems to be better than she was last year. the rest seem the same. and they seem like they are alot more vulnerable this year as well. and after hearing that one of the players is alot better than last year on livingston and they got another good one that maybe did not play much i would definitely have yall as the favorites.
  8. were sells and winningham there last year when they played each other?
  9. i hope your right lol. I want CPA to lose (somewhat).
  10. naw they didn't really handle page they just got the lead in the 4th after trailing the rest of the game. in that game they showed toughness of the old (finally) but before then i had not seen it and watch macon because they have been here before too, and i think livingston is looking for revenge from last year. and unlike page (no offense) they are use to holding leads late in tournament situations. and remember last year CPA had won 20 straight coming into the bracket.I'm not the only one around here thinking this either. others around here say they have noticed CPA is not as good this year and thinks that they will get beat. now its just 1 straight and they got lucky to even get here (should have been put out by macon in semis instead of lipscomb) but i give them credit. they have gotten their way back here no matter the situation. this tournament sure looks fun though!
  11. Thank you for your help! right now the obion of last years state finals would have beaten this years CPA team by 10 to 15 points in my opinion so that is why I don't think they will go near as far as they did last year. and you view on westview is why i think they will beat elizabethton. and i can't remember if Macon has any tall girls ( i want to say no, but unsure) so if not then i would have to give covington the edge although i personally want macon to win. and i feel CPA is just going through the motions too, at least until the game against page
  12. i have been watching 10AA for the past 4 years and am wondering how much better (if any) is livingston from last year? from what I have seen this year i believe CPA (even though they still have alot of their better players from last year) they have lost their edge and are not playing near the same as they were last year at this time. that does not mean they can't start to play better though.
  13. hey pioneer42 you said you have been watching 13AA all year. so could you answer me this question please? i understand obion lost macy and all, but is covington and westview better than they were last year, or is it just obion is not as good as they were last year. (but are still good of course). because i watched 10AA all year and think CPA has lost their edge from last year even though their best players are still there.
  14. i think elizabethton is good because when i look at who they beat i see a couple of good teams there, although there is hardly anyone who has been as battled tested as westview (except for a few) i could see either team winning, but IF there was to be a blowout i would say it would be westview over elizabethton, although i don't think it will be a blowout. and with the earlier mentioned battle tested thing i can't see westview being blown out.
  15. the one team i don't like in the tournament is a shocker, but its only cause i have watched them alot this year and that is CPA, they are the defending champs, but last year i had said they were going to win it and be tough, this year however, they are not hot going in and even though they have alot of their better players back, they have just been alot more vulnerable this year. lipscomb should have gotten in if not for that 4o foot buzzer shot by legate for cpa to send it to double OT where they pulled out the win. That does not mean that they can't get hot though, i am just saying that they seem alot different then last year and not in a good way.
  16. technically they are all dominant.
  17. if CPA wins state again this year (which would not be shocking) then they should win again next year as well, because they have no seniors (unless they are on the bench) all the players who start are juniors except for the freshmen braxton blackwell who is jalen lindsey's replacement and i personally think is better then him
  18. i think they are all tough first games but i think that macon vs covington will be most entertaining and hardest (just barely)
  19. ok i have seen east play alot and looked at cc's schedule and I would say it would be pretty even, but down the stretch lately other than against maplewood, East had been not playing too well, yes they made it this far, but other than CPA, the region was not hard for them. i say east loses by 8
  20. hume-fogg lost 11 seniors and about half or so started. they did have some talented juniors, but i wouldn't expect as good unless they got some talented freshmen coming in.
  21. Which teams do you all think will come out of this district? want to hear what yall have to say. CPA David Lipscomb Hume-Fogg Martin Luther King East Lit Goodpasture Stratford Maplewood Whites Creek
