I have heard 25 can scoot. 4 is no slouch either. Hampton is well coached, but so is Rockwood. Rockwood has the same coaches they did in 2009. Nothing has changed about smashmouth football.

Rockwood has made it 9 straight years to the playoffs. Last year was a down year for sure. Happy Valley was loaded last year. This year is a bit different for us. Meigs is the best team in our district now. We feel we have gotten better from game 5 on. Lots of people aren't giving proper respect and that's just how we like it. Our line average 270 and have begun to punish people. Hampton is well coached and always has been, but Rockwood this year is not the same team as the one that went up to Happy Valley last year. Cumberland Gap can throw the ball around and has some good athletes. I feel that their game will be closer than what you all are thinking. Oneida is no slouch and they have players that would start for any team up North in that district. It definitely has changed from back in the day when region 2 would sweep region 1 every year, but I think the districts are way more evenly matched this year than last.

I can assure that Rockwood is only looking at Hampton. I know that there were quite a few pancake blocks last week. One went out of the end zone and almost through the fence. Seems like O line and D line of Rockwood has come to play. It's not gonna be the backs that win this game. It will be the fattys up front. Hampton is always well coached and yeah they may be young, but they are legit. Friday will answer all questions.

Its all good. I know Hampton is surrounded by the mountains. Heck in 2009, the banjo music talking about from the Hills of Hampton was probably the most intimidating warm-up song I had ever heard. The song...not anything else...reminded me of "Deliverance". Freaked me out! LOL

I like that little old Rockwood is not even mentioned. This will be the 9th straight year Rockwood has made it to the 2A playoffs. Not many teams can say the same. Meigs County is tough and the Road from the east to the Championship will lead through Meigs. We will see what happens.

We sure are glad you are the ones riding the bus. That's a long trip. Rockwood seems to be playing its best football all year. The boys have come together at the right time. Senior night was last week, but this could be the last time the Seniors play on Civitan field ever. Hopefully, they will be fired up to play. Safe travels to Hampton boys and their families. The leaves are turning on the ridge around Rockwood, so you all will have something extra to look at this week.

Here is two questions...Why wouldn't Coach Satterfield want to coach with his son at Tenn Tech? Also, Coach is getting up there in years isn't he? He has been coaching since 1977. I got nothing but respect for the man. Good Coach and also very good man!

Middle school coaches do have a hard time making the transition to high school. There usually is a learning curve of at least 3 years. Ask Oliver Springs...no disrespect to Coach Green. He has done a great job, but he has learned on the go. I think given the right individual...this program could be turned around. It is going to take a lot of hard work. The benefits and pay are an issue that will have to be addressed. As for Coalfield getting the athletes...there is something to that.

Good luck to Coach Pankey. He is a great fella and a great Coach. AE community will really rally around this guy.

Look it was classless to attack the kid, but you show even less class by saying what you are saying. Rockwood has a great bunch of kids who work hard and are also great students in the classroom! Good luck to the Mitchell kid, and even more luck to the Rockwood Tigers. Coach Webb and his staff are a great bunch of guys who are passionate about the city of Rockwood and their football team.
