Where does Oak Ridge play now that their field has a sink hole? That is the craziest thing that I have heard about in a while.

Did Powell play Central this season? Who won? I heard Powell has a solid defense, but struggles scoring and Central has a shaky defense with a good scoring offense. Any thoughts? I think that you have to have defense to get through the tourney. I'm changing my pick to Powell.

Looks like baseball fans have more excuses than soccer fans on why they didn't win or didn't perform well. Very sad to read the excuses of why certain teams didn't win certain games. Grow up and own up to a loss every once in a while.

The district tournaments are about to be kicked off in the second week of May. The DoD looks like it is a fight between Farragut and Maryville, but who knows will make a run through the tourney. On the other side of the region it looks like Oak Ridge, Hardin Valley, Central or Powell (long shot on Central or Powell, but I saw that Oak Ridge only defeated Powell 1-0) Oak Ridge is looking like they have what it takes this season. Any thoughts? I'm picking Maryville and Oak Ridge to win their districts

Brentwood is not in the DoD. Sorry.

Who will survive the DoD this season? Will Bearden make another run at it? Will it be Farragut? This year the regular season champ will get an automatic bid to the region semifinals. Now they are on the same terms as Brentwood, which failed to make it out of their own district tourney last season as they won a state championship. Who do you have winning the best district in the state?

Maybe OR can talk about state once they get out of their district. I'm pretty sure that you have to make it out of that before you go to the state tourney.

I don't think that Bearden will beat HVA. I have seen both teams play this season and think that the HVA hawks will defeat the Bulldogs.

I agree. If you can't beat a "weaker" team when it counts then why should you advance in the tournament ? It doesn't make any sense. If your team is "the best in t he state" then you probably should not be losing in the semifinals of the district tourney.

What happened to Oak Ridge ? Out in the semifinals... seems like they would make it every year in such a weak district. Does anyone know what happened this season? Please POST! I didn't get to make it out to any games this season. Thanks

The Powell coach is a class act. I know him personally and have a lot of respect for him as well as his coaching. He would NEVER condone unsportsmanlike behavior. In many instances when a player attempts to hold the ball in the corner he gets knocked pretty hard. The refs need to take care of that stuff. I hope the player is back in for the HVA match. Sounds like a good talent as a freshman.

Here is the breakdown... Central vs Karns Oak Ridge vs HVA Farragut vs Bearden Maryville vs Catholic WHO WILL WIN IT ALL? Catholic is on fire, but there is nothing better to watch than Farragut vs Bearden in an elimination match. ANY COMMENTS? LETS TALK! ANY THOUGHTS?

It is a toss up this season in Region 2 District 3. Who will win and go on to play the powerhouse DoD teams? Will it be the defending State Champions ( HVA ) ? Will it be the young and upcoming Oak Ridge Cats? I heard that Central had a solid team. Whoever does win will have to hang with the best teams in the state when it comes to the region tourney. Catholic, Bearden, Farragut, West, etc. are looking like state worthy teams, as usual. There has not been any talk lately about who will advance into this region tourney. ANY THOUGHTS?
