Beech came out flat last week at home. My guess is they were looking ahead to this game. I’m anticipating Springfield gets their best effort. The only thing that scares me a little is the fact it’s fall break in sumner county.

For the Jackets it’s bouncing back after last week. HC and Beech back 2 back is tough. Now it may not be for the Oaklands, Knox West, Lipscombs haha

All of this 2 of 15 and WRa running open all night but we couldn’t hit them talk only solidifies what I’ve been saying. I don’t think the qb is consistent enough to beat Beech through the air. They will hit a couple big ones, but I don’t think they can consistently drive the ball. I’ve been wrong before (and most certainly will be again)… and that’s where the 31-14 comes from.

This yr It was the worst I seen the passing game in the first half. But just like I said last week....the Jackets can’t afford to make mistakes of any kind and beat a good team. Offensively scheme it the way it gives the best opportunity. And players have to execute. All 3 phases. I expect Beech to play an A game at home. Jackets have to do the same for the opportunity.

Agreed MJGB….. after watch HC/Springfield on SocialDweebs and SC/MJ on YT and seeing West as they are nearby, I look forward to this one. I think the overall quality of football is currently down on the Eastside in 5A/6A. You heard it hear first, the 5A champ comes out of the West!

I think West wins it all as well if their studs are healthy

The HC defensive pressure caused that mistake by your quarterback. I’ll never understand why it’s so hard for opposing teams fans to give credit. I’m not talking about my team only just in general. Your QB had to rush some of his missed passes because of pressure. I will always give the opposing team credit when they beat us.

Tell me about it....I can’t understand opposing fan....instead of giving credit to halftime adjustments and making plays they make the excuse only reason Springfield scored was bc 2 players got hurt. It’s on tape....Jackets marched it on down before both injuries.

And Devon should have made better decision to take sack and go on in to halftime.  I knew going in Jackets couldn’t afford self inflictions, bc of respect for HC, it was difference in the game. However great game both 2 good teams.

I don’t know about all that, can’t remember your prediction. It’s just everyone acts like Springfield made a miraculous comeback in the 2nd half. You can rewatch the 2nd. After Conroy got hurt on the line the next play was right for the 2nd player. Boyd stepped up and made a huge tackle on Crenshaw flipping him end over end, but Boyd got injured. After that most of the runs where through that hole. Without that it looked like the jackets where gonna get left with a 0 at home again.

FACEPALM! It’s to much to type and explain play by play so go back and look at the first drive after halftime. Start at 1:37:30. Boyd getting hurdled and diving at cleats three times. 87 not much of a factor. 87 is LDE and 3 is FS on same side. Jackets made adjustments at halftime and was back to themselves as they marched right on down the field before those injuries.   87 looks to have got hurt by own player laying on ground. It’s miraculous for HC that Devon over threw some recievers and gave a gift right before halftime. HC dbs were a step behind Jacket recievers. I hope both of those kids are alright! Lord willing we’ll see yall again!!!

37-14, fever dream? That was game 2 for both of us. HC made tons of mistakes. Beech was the beneficiary of a deflected pass on your end of the field. Beech also got a ball downed when it went over our punters head, on your end of the field. HC could have and should have won that game. 37-14 and here I thought you were a stand up guy. 37-14:roflolk:

I had forgotten about the bad snap on the punt. They had 2 very short fields.

I’m not disputing that, but the defense has improved significantly. They gave up 21 to HC, but one of those was after an atrocious sun 10 yard punt gave HC the ball very deep and another was aided by a phantom penalty. I don’t see Springfield being able to run the ball at them and I don’t think the QB is consistent enough to beat them repeatedly, although I do expect they will hit on a deep ball or two.

Jackets defense gave up 22 pts to HC....8 of them in OT from the 10 yd line. I don’t think Jackets can line up in power and run at will on Beech either. The first half of last week was by far the worst passing performance of the entire season. If the Jackets are clicking offensively they can move the ball and score. If they come out squandering opportunities they will be in another uphill battle. Jackets defense also has to try and slow down Beech rush attack.

  8.  After an emotional, hard fought game last Friday how will the Jackets bounce back? Can they come out with same energy like they had in the 2nd half of HC.....especially the offense? Time will tell. Hopefully they are pissed off and ready to go. QB10 and RB26 pretty good looking players. I expect Bucs to get theres. Jackets have to put the pedal to the metal and go. As I said last week....Jackets cannot shoot themselves in the foot. Play smart, no costly penalties, wrap up the ball carrier, hit in the passing game, no turnovers. Treat this as a playoff game before the bye week imo. I do expect beech to go power I at some point like they did last yr and pound the rock and try to wear us down.

Your down right crazy if you don't think the Jackets will be coming to Shackle Island looking for a win!

Also your smoking crack if you think Overton or McGavock could beat this Beech team. It's actually comical.

If im the Jackets I'm coming out and throwing it all around the park!!!

If we try and make this a running contest we will be on the wrong end of a whooping.

Yes! Go 4 or 5 wide and let er rip. Bring some jet sweep and fake it. Run some up the middle but call it like your already behind couple scores imo. Too many weapons

Wish we could have started throwing it around earlier, really thought that was our biggest advantage all week!

    I knew Henry DB'S couldn't keep up.

Great game Henry hope we can replay it in November!

The play calling in the pass game in 2nd half was the answer. Trips to one side.

Watching the Social Dweebs game video, and though both sides have rights to question some of the officiating calls, the illegal shift call on the Jackets that brought back a TD pass on the final drive of regulation was correct. 23 Flair the far WR for Springfield didn’t get set before the snap.

    That’s on Devon

  14. Only food for thought.

    Beech 26
    Henry 21

    Beech 38
    Clarksville 7.

    SPT 28.
    Henry 29 OT.

    SPT 34.
    Clarksville 0.

On paper it looks close to even.....I know the games play on the field. If we take this game seriously and play at our best from coaches to players I think it could be a close game. If not then Jackets lose by a couple tds imo. I expect their atmosphere to be loud.

I for one want us to try and win this game, as I have said, it is an opportunity to get better, my philosophy is to always go for the win, otherwise why play the game at all...

Agree. Im sure Beech doesn’t want to lose key players  due to injury either. I expect Beech to bring it like always. Lets go 4 or 5 wide and air it out like josh Heuple offense imo.
