They officially packed it up in the middle of the 2nd qtr. That's not to say they showed up to begin with though. Give credit to Bearden for fighting back but that loss is still unexcusable.

If WB had taken care of business those 34 unanswered points would not have even mattered and I would even argue that they would have never even scored a TD. WB squandered so many opportunities in the 1st 1 1/2 quarters it wasn't even funny. They were gouging Bearden's defense for 10,15,and 20 yards a play but stupid penalties and turnovers killed 4 or 5 drives in the redzone. The score should have been 42 or 49 to zip at halftime but instead we turned the ball over right before halftime and bearden returned that interception inside the redzone and were able to score to make it 14-7. And that gave them life and they were able to make adjustments and take over the game in the 2nd half. The Govs have had a habit of blowing games since '07, especially against Bearden. I don't think we have beaten them since '99 or 2000.

As much as I hate to say it you can probably count the WB game as a win for bearden. I'm not going to pick WB to beat bearden until they prove they can get it done. The past 2 years were WB's chance to beat them and they could not get it done so i'm going to have to pick bearden to win that game in 2015.

Well the problem at WB is they don't pay enough and they don't give the HC the flexibility to bring in his own staff. If the powers that be would pull their heads out of their arses and commit to supporting athletics it would be an attractive gig and quality coaches would be beating down the door. WB has all the pieces in place, BCS just need to open up their wallets and dig a little deeper and the rest will take care of itself.

I think high turnover in coaching is the reason alot of schools struggle. Look at WB.. We have had how many coaches since the late 90s? And it really shows on the field. If we had a quality coach that would stick around for awhile and build-up the program we might be able to be a contender. It's hard to get anything going when you have to start from scratch every few years.
