to be quite honest, teaching in this age of accountablity makes it a little more strainious on a teacher. As an pricipal, they are going to hire a FULL licenced teacher over a interm position, esp if its gym bc there are thousands of them. I understand the paying part, I was a college student who had no money played football and paid for the test and worked part time. They are not 50-50 shots. If you study, and many study programs are online free, you can pass. They are $90 to take them and can be scheduled 4 months in advance. Thats plenty of time to study. also just a hint, even if its true or not, you are getting paid to teach, You should stress the intrest to be a teacher/football coach, and not a coach/ teacher. Principals want people who are going to reflect their core grades as the best they can. just FYI.

Take the praxis and pass atleast one in your specific area. Doing that will allow you to work towards the others and also let's principals know your are serious to obtain the full time. If I was to start take the plt first. Thats the general common core test.

All "small schools" DO offer full rides for freshmen coming in. also I could name 20+ players that went to d1aa or naia on full rides. This county produces one or 2 a team d1 players. That's impressive. Not every team. But for YEARS, this county put out good athletes. I would argue for the county.

funny we were saying the same thing about siegel 5 years ago, the only constant in this region is riverdale will always be good, smyrna will be back to the top in 3 years, heck of a middle school team coming up, and they are young this year. talent will rotate between blackman, siegel, smyrna, and oakland every year.
