Did Waddell really think Cornersville would except losing again? Blaming his staff just proves he should have never been given the job.

Elliot Cook was the defensive coordinator he is still on staff. That is who the next head coach should be.

Cornersville made a mistake in hiring Waddell and chose to fix their mistake something Forrest refuses to do.

No, Fayetteville is a big athletic team, but I believe Cornersville would be 5-2 instead of 2-5. Not everybody is a head coach and Waddell has proven he is not a head coach by the way he is running the program.

My understanding Cornersville had several good candidates apply for the job including their defensive coordinator. It is mine blowing that this is the guy they hired. No head coaching experience and a horrible record at Hazel Green. They should cut him loose as soon as the season is over.

Everyone knows Cornersville made a horrific hire when they hired Waddell. The question is will there be enough pressure on the administration to make a change? I sure hope so these kids deserve better. Fayetteville by as many as they want they have a very talented team.

I would have to disagree Franklin has not proven yet to be the “real deal”. He should be taking games over in 1A with his size and speed but he does not.

Franklin is a great kid, but he has not proven himself in big games yet. This week he has the chance to do just that.

If there isn’t vast improvement as the season goes this should be a one and done hire.

Hate to waste a year when the right guy could have been hired.

Out of shape unprepared football team!! This is what we were all afraid of when they made this hire.

I would have to agree Cornersville does not have the depth of these 3 teams. Would not surprise me if all 3 are playing in 2A next year.

Not hearing much about who has applied. Did hear that Coach Cook the defensive coordinator applied if so he is the clear choice he loves Cornersville and wants to be there. Make him the Head Coach and McMahon the offensive coordinator both coached on the 2017 and 2018 team they know what it takes to get there.

Who ever they hire needs to do everything they can do to keep Coach Cook he does an outstanding job with the defense. Cornersville has to hire someone to fix their offense it was bad last year and they won 9 games.

Would be hard for him being the girls basketball coach, but would be great as the offensive coordinator.
