  1. We're looking ofrward to a rematch with Trousdale as well. This year the boys are focused and ready though. Plus we will have to home field advantage. Should be a good one. GO WARRIORS!
  2. Sorry Ambassador. My Daddy taught me not to open my mouth unless I new for sure what I was talking about. I've thought this was going to be a great year too, but too many things can happen through the season that could come back and bite you in the but if you talk too much crap early.
  3. Clay County is the closest thing the 2 teams have to a common oppent. Jackson Co. beat them 23-6, SP beat them 36-34 (when not playing SPs best), and Marion Co. Mercy ruled SP by half and put the JV in 2nd half. Yes the game still has to be played, but Jackson Co. better be playing the game of their life and hope Marion is WAY off their game Friday. GO WARRIORS!!!!
  4. Most of the points Marion County has allowed this year were after the JV went in. CCS was the only team to score well and that only last thru the 1st quater. The only defense that has been able to handle Marion was Central, and the offense has improved since that game. It's good that you have confidense in your team, but it would take something drastic for Jackson County to upset the Warriors. GO WARRIORS!!!!
  5. I know some people are complaining about how 4-6 teams are in the playoffs this year, but correct me if I'm wrong. If i understand correctly, under this new systems the top 4 teams in each region will be in the playoffs. That would mean that 2A regions 7 & 8 only have to win ONE game to qualify and the 32 largest scools in the state (the new 6A) ALL qualify for the playoffs even if they lose EVERY game. Will someone PLEASE explain to me how this is a BETTER system.
  6. Alright, now we know who we have for round 2. How do you think this match-up will end up?
  7. I told you the kicker would be nice to the return guys and put them all in the end zone so they wouldn't have to get pounded trying to run it. The only one he didn't, the guy was so excited he tripped over his own two feet as soon as he caught it.
  8. You mean #24. Last week was his first week back after an injury at the Central game. You will get a dose of him this week as well.
  9. I get all you Pirates/Bucaneers confused. Especially that early in the morning. Would love to see you guys again in the playoffs. On our turf this time though.
  10. He's on a roll this year so don't count on him missing anything. He will be nice to your KO return guys after he makes all those PATs though. He'll put all the KOS in the end zone so your guys don't get pounded trying to return it.
  11. Roy, you're getting your facts mixed up. He said when you have had a few to tell the cop you only had 2 when he pulls you over after you leave Ronnie's Red Eye.
  12. Roy, you guys may have come out on top these last few years but we haven't ever been scared or hid under a rock. It's time for the Warriors to take their turn back on top. If you're still in a sharing mood once you realize the Pirates winning streak is over Friday night, I will be happy to share a fudge round with you. You can't miss me. You can help me tie that Pirate scalp lock onto my shield to complete it. GO WARRIORS!
  13. I don't think Marion's so called 'weak' schedule hurts them as much as most of you want to believe. Our schedule is what it is for one. We play 5 teams with a losing schedule. out of those 5, 2 are district games (no choice), and the other 3 are 3A teams (2 of which are traditional valley games). Our only loss was to a 4A team by 1 defensive score and we held to less than 110 yards offense. Most of our games have been by a big enough margin to get our younger players some game time which will help next year. It also helped our first string get off the field some and try to keep them injury free for the post season. So just exactly how is this 'weak' schedule so detrimental to our post season success?
  14. I'm doing fine. I'm not much into all the cage rattlin' on here. Makes for some good reading though. I tend to be a little more selective with my commentary. Thanks for asking.
  15. Marion County vs. South Pittsburg .....WITHOUT question! The only way to describe this rivalry is the Hatfields vs. the McCoys....on STEROIDS! To quote the article below, the last time this game was canceled was due to fear of violence at the game. Last years game not only made national headlines, it was int he news in England as well. When it comes to rivalries.... there is no equal!!! http://media.timesfreepress.com/epaper/chatter/09-01-2014/index.html#page/104
  16. I agree with that.... some just need to light a match.... others need a whole can of Frebreeze!
  17. We expect them to be compitant enough to win WITHOUT breaking the rules. But we also need to understand they are not going to win EVERY game.
  18. Warning!!!!!! VENT ALERT!!!!!!!!!! My dad taught me to hold my tongue unless I had details. I think there are enough details out now. First of all, how can anyone that knows the history of the MC/SP rivalry think that the team NEEDS any additional motivation to win? Especially the coaches! If you think they need extra motivation then you OBVIOUSLY have NOT done your job as a coach. As for the other issues that reared their ugly head during the investigation, I try hard to teach my kids to do the RIGHT thing. The last thing I need is a person that is supposed to be a role model to show them it is ok to break the rules. You are suppose to lead by example. You go out on that field and give 100%. If you win great, if you lose you congratulate the other team and walk off the field with you head held high that you did your best. If that is not what the coach is teaching, he doesn't need to be a coach. I hope our boys can focus on the game this week and show everyone that they deserve to be in this quarter final game REGARDLESS of what the coaches did. Vent over. GO WARRIORS!!!!!!
  19. This thread made it all week without getting shut down. That in itself is a miracle. But now it's GAME DAY! Time to take off the leashes and let the kids battle it out on the field. We'll see how many of you have been talking TRUTH and how many have been talking TRASH. GO WARRIORS!!!!!!
  20. S. Pitt and Marion Co. both have tracks, but during that game at either location the track is as packed as the stands are. There is no buffer zone between the 'fans' and the sidelines.
