  1. 81 is Jacob Blake, 38 is Logan Diebold, but who the heck is 22?
  2. Watch Jacob Warbritton play and tell me he doesn't deserve Mr. Football. It literally takes the whole team to bring him down. Over 1200 yards and 22 tds? Ridiculous.
  3. Fields returning should help a lot. I just hope his knee holds up so we have him for playoffs. He's the type that would come back even if he wasn't ready. It must've killed him to watch that WC game from the sidelines. We've no doubt missed him!
  4. Yes, don't get me to lying, but I believe he has a ruptured spleen from a hit sustained in their loss last Friday. Praying for the young man, but his season's over. He was a great player. Hate to see him go down his senior year.
  5. Huntingdon is a football driven town. Even in losing seasons, very few to speak of, we have good crowd support.
  6. The Rebels have one win, Dresden barely beat Bruceton I believe, and Camden is without their star player... You have to be joking. There's only one more potential loss, Milan, and we have a good chance of beating them or at least playing a tight game. Lay off the pipe lol.
  7. Good enough to capitalize on a terrible night for the Stangs? Yes. Good enough to win on a so-so performance by the us? No. Good enough to win on WC's AND Huntingdon's best night? Most definitely not! Even with terrible performance like past Friday, we would've won without the late interception. We gave it to them with turnovers, they didn't out right win it by any means. Improved? Yes. Better? No. Good? Yes. Great? No.
  8. I've attended a couple Camden games this year as I have young family members on the team. They are an excellent program. I was sad to hear of Tanner, the qb, he's a great kid and player with a lot of heart. He's also an excellent basketball player. With that being said, they will without a doubt miss his presence. He is for Camden much what Tyler Warbritton was for us last season. Qb, punter, kick returner. They relied heavily.on his passing capabilities the games I watched and the big plays. I have no knowledge of the qb taking his place. I believe the stangs will win a tough one, especially after last weeks loss. They'll be playing mad. Should be a great game with Camden's D!
  9. I am eating a plateful of crow. However, I do not believe anyone saw that coming, even WC themselves. They were so tore up about winning one big game, they didn't know what to do. Still, I will stand by my opinion that Huntingdon is still the better team. I'd bet my house they won't be the Stangs in the playoffs. Actually, I believe this loss was a good thing. From now on, the players will be looking for blood (figure of speech) on every single play. I still believe we can beat Camden, I still believe we can beat Milan. Hopefully, this time our only loss of the season won't be the last game. That is setting expectations high. But hey, I'm not regretting anything I said before the WC game. Talking trash is a part of the game. Do you not think the players are talking trash on the field? The difference in this years team and last year? Humilty. It was a complete humiliation to our players to lose to WC. They know what it feels like to lose now, and I can guarantee they'll do whatever it takes to not feel that again. If we beat Camden come friday. I believe everyone will realize that loss was a fluke. Not taking anything away from the eagle. They are drastically improved, but not yet level with the Mustangs even though they won. I will not change my position on that.
  10. On the contrary Kermit, I'm not sure who you're referring to, but a lot of the community has been frustrated with Swenson the past few years. I will give him this, it would be a tough task for ANYONE to follow the likes of the legends Mansfield and Pritchard. Personally, I believe he has done a good job with the program after a few bad years, but that could be credited to the staff as a whole. If you speak to the players, they will tell you Robbie Miller and Coach McAdams are the ones behind the scenes making everything happen. Actually, a majority of the starters are not fond of Swenson at all or his play calls. It is obvious in this game we got outcoached. Still, he is the coach and you don't have to like him, you just have to listen to him. But it would help if your coach had the respect of at least the team. And right now from a majority of the players I've talked to, he doesn't have that.
  11. Exactly, be logical pops. Making the playoffs won't be an issue. Do you believe so?
  12. Thanks, Butchie. I'm absolutely loving this new passing game we've developed also. Our offense is top notch. We've barely punted at all, granted our only challenge was UC.. If you consider them a challenge. Our true test will come with Camden and Milan. If we can get past them, Cookeville is definitely in our future.
  13. Warbritton is now second in the entire state in rushing behind top prospect Jalen Hurd. WC doesn't stand a snowball's chance with him on the field. He's a born leader. Just refuses to quit on every single down. Also, Bush is tied for first in sacks. The Mustangs are making some noise. If it flies, it dies! Watch out!
