The statement was made in jest. I was trying to get a rise out of fellow SP and Boyd faithful. I saw them at the Chattanooga jamboree. They looked good then. Also when a team has every starter returning from a team that took you to the ropes, it's a safe bet they are good again.

Believe it or not their facilities are improved. They were much worse a decade ago or so.

I've never attended a game at GBA.From the sound of it guess I never will.

Hopefully somehow someway they can improve.

Pretty sure teams such as Alcoa,Beech & Giles have improved more.Just my opinion.

It's a great question.I just don't know the answer.

Pretty sure that individual stats are kept on the books when a team has to forfeit a game due to using an ineligible player.

Stats for ineligible player/players are thrown out.

Indian or rlh may have the answer.Hopefully they can enlighten us all.

Hate to hear John Hale will be missing this game & rest of yr.He's a fine young man & I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

Boyd is plenty capable of plugging his spot.There is a reason/reasons they are #1 in 2a.

This matchup features the #1 team in 1a & the #1 team in 2a.

2 of the best teams ClassA has to offer.

To me there are only 4 teams at this point that can stake a claim at who's best in ClassA football.

Those teams are Boyd,Gville,Grace & SP.PERIOD!!

This matchup is what makes highschool football great.

Lots of respect from me to Boyd's program & their faithful followers.

Gonna take the best defensive effort to date for the Pirates to get the victory.

Hopefully SP will continue to work hard,improve daily & give it everything they got.

The AD at Lancaster picked up SP briefly before they were picked up by Frankling Co. The coach asked the AD, you picket up Who? Lancaster had dropped Boyd to try to find a game they may actually be able to win.

FCHS signed a home & home series with Greeneville last yr & figured they bit off more than they could chew.The 1 yr deal with SP was all they were willing to sign at the time.

Of those 117, 77 have FB teams. Actually, the top school I placed in my 2A guess was 495. The next schools up were 2 schools with 502. Then it jumped to 519.

So you have Marion playing 3a playoffs?

Why was Franklin County drop off the schedule

They would only sign a 1 yr deal.

They picked up Lancaster Academy.

Guess I'll stay home tontie since Grider has no game.

This is type of game/ teams Marion needs to dominate from start to finish if you're gonna be a force come playoff time.

GBA doesn't have that ''winning mentality" to win these type games.Marion does!

Sorry I haven't been able to post on here, had to return to work so been going from work to the hospital. I saw some of you talking about the steroids shot they believe gave people meningitis in Nashville. My sister was taking steroids shots for allergies Idk if there's a connection but they seem pretty sure it all started with an ear infection so ill assume it wasn't a human error. As for her condition she is progressing amazingly. They thought she wouldn't make it 5 days ago and now she's awake and even fed herself yeaterday. We are hoping that middle of next week she can go home with an in home nurse.
