  1. There is a coach in mid tenn with north side ties. He is from there his family still lives there but I don't think he would try to be a head coach again after the fiasco he went through last year. I'd hire him in a minute if he applied. But doubt you could pry him away from middle tenn now after what he went through.
  2. Never said Indy would win just said I would like to see them play each other this year. If I was a betting man I would still bet on Maryville, just like to see how this Indy team stacks up against the best. You will understand what I am talking about after tonight.
  3. No disrespect at all but imo the best 5 teams in the state in 5A are Indy, HHS, HHS, Centennial, and Henry County. This one is not even close and over at half. Indy is the best team I have seen in a long long time. Agree Red Swarm any doubt will be put to rest. Would love to see Indy-Maryville
  4. First game I watched all year for HHS but watched on tv (rather watch them live) My impressions, unlike many on here it was Hville DEFENSE that kept them in it midway in the 3rd. It's 17-7 and I'm sitting there thinking man if they stop them here this could get interesting. For 2 1/2 quarters the D had them consistently in third and long even Indy went for it on fourth a couple times. But Hville offense could never get anything going. I don't have a chance to go to games anymore due to work but I thought with all the talent Hville has they would be better on O. I told my better half while watching its like they don't have an offense game plan. Yes Indy D is good very good but Hville let them have their entire D within 5 yards of the ball it looked like. Sorry I'm an Hville supporter but not running against that. This Hville team seemed to be very good other than these two losses and it looks like could be better next year. I didn't realize they had 8/9 starters coming back on D until reading this post. Maybe next year for commandos? I hope so. Good luck to the players and coaches. Now to Indy. Don't know if I've watched a high school game with a more explosive offense. They were kept in check for a while but never any doubt what was eventually going to happen. The QB is awesome, 2/9/6 are studs BUT the offense line impressed me the most. Indy D will determine wether they win it all or not. They aren't big but they are fast and lights out. Seemed to tackle very well. very impressed with their entire team in every aspect. Good luck to you guys. I hope you beat everyone left 39-7 or worse so we can say we played you the best...haha Remember this is high school these kids read this stuff. Bash the coaches all you want they are grown men and the posters (assuming players don't post but who knows). Good luck to Indy the rest of the way you have a great team.
  5. I saw Coach B at the soccer fields last night and asked him about it. He wouldn't comment just said he had some family things that have come up and left it at that. Mondo do you know anything about this.
  6. How did they look overall? Did the Freshman scrimmage? How did that go? What about Portland, any update on them from anyone?
  7. Still don't know about hville. Haven't really heard anything. I know they had back to back freshman classes over 50 kids and heard they have another 50+ kids this year so the future looks bright but for this year total silence from their fans. Portland will be better. Talent wise station camp could be the leader. Don't count out gallatin though, lot of old but familiar faces coaching and there is talent right now to win
  8. I've Hurd a lot about Beech, Station Camp, Mt Juliet, and Gallatin on this topic. Does anyone know anything about Hendersonville, Portland, Wilson Central, Lebanon? Good, Bad, Ugly, Freshman teams, 7 on 7s, etc. I just haven't heard anything on them. Just a little about Wilson Central but not much. I love 9AAA football, someone give me some scoop.
  9. Back to the topic of the region, this is my best assumption from what I've heard: Beech - Hurd, nuff said MJ - They will reload Wilson Central - probably the most talent coming back, can they turn the corner this year or do they stay the same Station Camp - If they ever put it together could be tough to stop, could move to the top or stay the same. Hendersonville - They have a strong Junior class, and a really strong Sophomore class but does it translate to the field this year, could be up or down based on how quick the young talent gels Portland - Improving each year. Aric is a underrated coach. They could also surprise and be a top 3 team in the region Gallatin - sorry GWAVE, they are a couple years out from being back. I know they have upcoming freshman group that is going to be tough to beat, they may have to pull some of those studs up this year. Lebanon - Who knows, do they get the kids in the Halls to play?????
  10. I seriously doubt that. I was told that this was the largest freshman class they have ever had and that last year was almost as large. That half of their varsity team were sophomores and that the juniors and seniors were the smallest groups they ever had. H'ville has a true freshman team with a seperate staff from the varsity and their own practice field, etc. I know because my nephew was on the team last year. They had mid fifties last year and upper fifties this year which bolds well for the varsity as far as numbers go. I also heard they are expecting just as many next year.
  11. Don't know about hville next year. My nephew played for the freshman last year and they were explosive and fun to watch and there freshman this year were 9-0 so they will be young but could be pretty decent
