wow, 45 to 6. that is sad. I have only had one tech. called on me my entire life and I think I would have been thrown out of the game if the opposite team sho 45 foul shots and my team shot 6.

No doubt about what RHS#1 fan said about coaching girls' teams and boys' teams being like night and day. I have seen many successful boys' coaches try to switch to girls' and fail. I do not believe I have ever seen a girls' coach switch to boys'. It should be interesting. When I switched coaching AAU boys to AAU girls, I had some initial success but I did not have continuous success for several years. Girls are difinately a different animal, however, I would rather coach girls now because if you can reach them mentally (find out what makes each one tick), you can put them in a position to achieve their maximum potential. God bless everyone. I have a thought, show your kids the meaning of sportsmenship by applauding during the introduction of both your team and the opposite team. Isn't it about the kids anyway. They may be your kids' competitor, but also attend the same churches and colleges that other kids around them attend. They will all grow up to be leaders of the community. Dont we want all of them to achieve greatness?

Yes, but the Zion game is suppose to be cancelled to play the district game. Unless it changes again.

I have to say that I was impressed with the cornersville student section. They really got behind their team in the girl's game. However, I have only seen fans like the Moore County ones a couple of times in all my years. I thought they would jump the refs. after a couple of their losses. But the worst ever is West Morgan's fan (North Alabama). At the regional championship game at Hanceville in 2002 (maybe 2003), their fans actually began throwing stuff on the floor and loudly booing are players while they were being introduced. It looked like a screen from a gang movie. The way the game ended was great. They were up by one with about 10 seconds left. They got a steal and a breakaway. Instead of the guy just laying the ball in and letting time run out, he went up for a 360 monster dunk. He bricked in off the back of the rim, the ball went airborne to half court where one of our player (lauderdale county high school) caught it, turned and shot. It went in as time expired. They went home and we went on to get beat in the final 8. I am surprised I did not get shot because I got all up in the faces of all those so called adults that had been running their mouths all game. There still is not anything better to shut up a bunch of punk fans as to beat their team.

Zion, a non-district game, is going to be cancelled or rescheduled. Who knows.

Yes, the game was cancelled due to a school board policy that says that if a winter storm warning is issued, all athletic events will be cancelled. It is being made up Feb. 14th. Take care and god bless you.

AMEN BROTHER. Yes, He is young and full of energy. He will succeed. It is Richland's decision whether or not they want him to succeed with Richland. But mark my words, he will succeed somewhere.

It makes me sick to see people get on here under assumed screen names and bad mouth a coach when they have no clue what they are talking about. Coach Miller has not had alot of success this year. But let's look at the facts: He is a first year headcoach just out of college. He has allot of basketball knowledge and experience playing and coaching basketball. He also comes from a coaching family. The biggest problem is that his team has not bought into his system or style of play. You have several players who know more, or think they do, know more than the coach. This is probably because mom and dad think they know more than the coach and the players hear about this daily. Yes, there are parents who may know more than the coach about basketball. The parents positively know more about their kids than the coach does. However, he is the COACH. As a parent, the best thing you could do is to tell your son to LISTEN TO THE COACH AND DO WHAT HE SAYS. If they don't, they will never be a TEAM. As a team is the only way they will succeed. When a first-year, non-tenured coach is having to look over his shoulder every moment and hope that he hasn't upset off some player or parent, he can not concentrate on basketball and the team. So get off his back and tell you sons to buy into the system. Then, and only then, will this team succeed. ALSO, why doesn't everyone who wants to talk bad about him get on hear under their real name so that everyone will know your feelings and who you are. You have the right to voice your opinion. This is AMERICA. But dont do so like a Coward. By the way, I have no dog in this fight. I do not have a son at this school. However, my son did play against Richland for several years and I was always impressed with the Richland Team. Let's get behind this guy and see what happens. I know he is a good man. Let's see if a little support will make this a good team. Is he going to make mistakes, positively. But who doesn't.

You may be right. However, Santa Fe is not a great team and they just beat the 4 seat, Wayne County, last night. So don't count your chickens till colonial sanders cooks them. Wayne County and Richland played a practise game before the season and Wayne County did beat Richland pretty soundly. Perry County and Summertown, if the 1 and 2 seats from that district, are probably the strongest teams in 1A. God bless you all.

I have seen them play and everyone has to admit that Summertown and Wayne county both appear to be great. And I see that collinwood and perry co have played those two tough with the 4 beating up each other. It will take a good day for a district 11 team to advance past regionals.

Hey Eagle, Why dont you stroke your ego by bragging on your team instead of putting other teams down? Richland, as well as Cornersville, has done well this year. Both teams can be proud of what they have accomplished. By the way, why dont you pull for all kids, not just the ones from your town. It is just a game. God bless you and I hope whatever team you pull for does well. Remember, it is about the kids.

Give Cornersville credit for a game well played. Give Richland credit for still being #1 in the District.

For any team to win the number of games that Richland has is remarkable. Give them credit where credit is due. As far as District 11 vs. District 12, time will tell. District 12 does appear to be stronger, however, looks may be misleading. GO RAIDERS.
