I was a sophomore on the team when Coach Trapp became coach. After the 04 season Coach Cantrell was replaced by Coach Fuller who left the program exactly two weeks before the opening game vs. Warren County. Coach Trapp stepped in after Fuller left and had a very bad year. Does anybody know if tonights game vs. Hixson will be broadcasted online like last week vs. Smith? I wont be able to make the game tonight but would like to watch it online if possible.

Im a former 4 year player, graduated in 08 so I didnt get to experience any real success my whole career. We lack support from former players that have graduated within the last 5-10 years. All those players say if we could of played for Trapp our whole career we could of done this or that, its almost like they are jealous or something. If you pay attention though you dont hardly see any former players at home games that didnt get to have that first winning season with Trapp. I dont hold any hard feelings but lots of former players do, so they dont come out and support the team. Our community needs to get that changed around somehow.

Yes our whole county is behind us, I guess winning has that affect. And I agree that Coach Bernie deserves alot of credit, if we have a deep playoff run it will be because of that man. Anyways im hoping when we meet Livingston both teams will still be undefeated, either way that game will be for the district championship.Id really love for both teams to be sitting at 9-0 though. Its going to be a tough game up in hogeye country, Dekalb will have to be clicking on all cylinders to come away with a win.

Smith County will come out strong and beat Macon County easily to get back in the win column. I look for them to run the table on their remaining schedule, I just dont see any more losses. York and White House may play them close for awhile, but in the end Smith will be to much to handle.

Personally I think Coach Trapp now has Dekalb County set up where they will have winning seasons pretty much every year. Granted some years will be better than others, but I just dont see them having anymore 2 or 3 win seasons. Every blue moon he may have some down years with 5-6 wins but I dont believe that will happen much. Things are in place for Dekalb County to be playoff contenders yearly aslong as Steve Trapp is headcoach. Hopefully nobody takes this the wrong way and think im saying Dekalb will be world beaters every season because im not. I just think he can have the success of like Smith County with winning seasons and playoff births.
