I pray you are right ecu. I am definitely on your side, but I am not as confident. Not sure where you live but where I am at we have had a decent amount of snow, some sleet and now it is a freezing rain that is suppose to last until 8:00 am tomorrow. At that point the temperature will finally be above 32 degrees and it will switch to just rain. As you can tell from my screen name I am not originally from the south lol. I am just a Yankee though......not a darn Yankee! That's a lot of ice over top of snow and frozen ground that will not be able to warm because the layer of snow and ice are insulating it from the warmer rain. Plus in my experiences a 40 degree rain doesn't melt ice very well regardless. Not trying to be negative because I have my ecu pompoms out as I am typing this. I was just curious if they would play Sunday if it was necessary.

Just curious........does anyone know what will happen if tournament games cannot be played tomorrow? I hope the weather does not get that bad, but was curious what would happen if it does.

As of this morning girls games have been moved to Tuesday and boys games on Wednesday.......not sure how that is going to happen since nearly every school in TN is closed tomorrow. Region games have been moved to next week instead of Friday and Saturday of this week. Not sure what's going to happen or when the games will be played, but based upon the forecasted temps the next couple of days it would not surprise me if the games don't get played until Thursday or Friday(ish). Just my opinion though........too much of a liability sending buses out with kids in them. I feel that is why they moved region games to next week.

Foster did dominate.....he was absolutely amazing to watch! Keith was out though.....he was wearing an orange polo, khaki pants, and limping very badly. FC missed his #30 on the court tonight. He is a great player, and I hate to see anyone unable to play due to injury. Huntland played a great game tonight......I congatulate them on their victory. They have really been playing great basketball down the stretch.

I'm sure all districts have their own personalities and we all tend to belive in the teams we play on a daily basis. I'm sure all of the teams will be strong and play with a great deal of passion. I wish all involved "good luck".

Tuesday nights games.....who do you pick to win? Forrest @ Fayetteville Eagleville @ Huntland MTCS @ Moore Co Very critical games that will impact seeding in the district tournament.

What is wrong with people? Hopefully there were cameras outside the restaurant and the idiots will get caught. Any idea when the game will be played?

All the players mentioned are great players......period! What I am about to bring up is not a knock on any of these great players, instead it's just pointing out the differences in playing environments. One of the biggest things I feel is overlooked is scoring efficiency. I have heard that Kobe shot the ball 35 times the night he played FC. If he shot the ball that many times he better have had the night he had. I believe a very modest shots:points ratio is 1:1. In other words if he shot the ball 35 times he better have at least 35 points. I'm curious how many shots Hopkins took. Did he shoot the ball 10-15 times and scored 22 pts? Who was more efficient? Hopkins doesnt need to shoot the ball as many times as Kobe because he has more scoring options around him. What would Hopkins do if he played for Huntland and what would Kobe do if he played for FC? The comparison of who is better is pointless because they are both GREAT players and they cannot control the environments that they have been dealt to play in. I'm just glad I have had the opportunity to watch both of them play!

Who are the best in the district by position or skill set? Best Centers? Best Forwards? Best perimeter shooters? Best point guards? Best all around scorers to stop? Best DEFENDERS? Being a great defender doesn't show up much in the newspaper or scorebook.......these players need some credit too!

Clarkgriswold brought up a huge point. Community did beat Houston Co (who is currently LEADING district 10a). That alone says a lot about our district and the potential to do very well at region......no matter who goes! I don't know about anyone else, but I never feel like any 9A district game is an automatic win. I agree that the home teams should all be the favorites on Friday, BUT I sure wouldn't be surprised if all the road teams pull out a win. Huntland has been playing great and has already beat MTCS this year. Community has been knocking on victories door and they are playing for pride.....did not mean that as a pun lol. Then there is Moore Co.....they are riding a 4 game district win streak and have been finding a way to win those hard fought close games. I truly believe anyone can beat anyone, with the exception of Fayetteville City. Early in the year a made a comment that the stars would have to be aligned just right to pull off an upset against them......and it happened. They are a really good team that is very solid at all positions, and It took an almost perfect game to beat them. We have a very solid district and I will be a fan of whoever survives the district tourney and goes to the regional level.

Friday's games......who will win these crucial games? Huntland @ MTCS Community @ Forrest Moore Co. @ Eagleville

    9-A

To be honest I don't think the kids on Moore Co really care who is the best player on the team. They don't play to establish their name or number.........they only play for the 7 letters across their chest (whether it's home or away) MOORE CO or RAIDERS.......it's seven letters no matter what uniform they wear. They win as a team and lose as a team......not as individuals. I am very proud of their efforts this year and have enjoyed watching them develop into a close knit family this year. You all can have your superstars and MVP's.......I would rather have a solid group of role players that are on the same page, and have each other's back any day!!!

    9-A

Actually Fayetteville would play Eagleville in round 2 after their 1st round bye, and MTCS would play Moore Co.

    9-A

i really do hope they win a game, but when your district schedule still has Eagleville at home and MTCS and Forrest on the road I am not sure what I am suppose to say to answer that question. Someone has to win those games and with 2 road games and a solid team like Eagleville at home it doesn't look very good for the Vikings. They have been stacked for a few years now and a lot of the kids playing now have not had many opportunities in the past. The experience that their players have gained this year should most definitely make them a solid team next year.

My prediction for how the district will end up based upon who everyone has left to play and where they play. 1. Fayetteville City 11-1 2. Moore Co. 8-4 3. MTCS 8-4 4. Eagleville 7-5 5. Huntland 5-7 6. Forrest 2-10 7. Community 0-12

Fayetteville City 8-1 MTCS 6-2 Moore Co. 5-3 Eagleville 4-3 Huntland 4-5 Forrest 2-6 Community 0-9 Just a handful of district games left......any predictions on how things will play out?

I'm still trying to see the "logic" in that statement. Even if he had help in the post that would just give him some company and someone to hold hands with in the paint because nobody is going to get either one of them the ball. The problem isnt inside......it's the inexperience on the perimeter. They have good kids that play very hard......just not enough PT to make it come together yet. It will come in time.
