  1. Martell will put up crazy numbers, however CSAS will definately not win state. CSAS is very undisciplined they rely way to much on their athleticism. Single A ball is lot more disciplined than CSAS is used to. Look at Temple and Grace neither team ever has crazy athletes, yet they win because they are very disciplined.
  2. I have heard that some players won't be attending this weeks matchup with Soddy Daisy. The names that I heard were some players who are big contributors. Just wonderin', if anybody knows if this is fact or fiction just let me know. The reason I want to know is because I am not gambling on this game and my picks have to be in by friday morning. Please and thank you, P.S Please tell me it ain't true, i don't want to pick SD.
  3. I personally will have to say Tony Taylor of East Ridge. He's like 5'9 and can't be 160, but he changes games for the Pioneers. I can't even count how many times he bailed out his QB last year by jumping out of nowhere to steal the ball away from helpless defenders. And this year it looks like he is playing a little bit more agressive I saw a nasty stiff arm he laid on somebody at the LFO game. But who else? Let everyone know who those guys are that make you say ,"did you see that, where did that come from, I can't believe he just did that!"
  4. Thanks Indian. O.K. State is a good fit for anybody, who wouldn't want to be guaranteed at least two losses a season( Texas, Oklahoma)
  5. What one drug charge and he falls off the face of the earth, has he not learned anything from the worlds beloved professional athletes. One drug charge is like a belly-button all those guys have 'em
  6. If 6'4 wins state this year at any class I will be the sickest human around. I got 6'4 at state last year and took home the 4th place medal. The kid from McMinn is garbage. If Adams had been at BOP no one would even know this kids name. By the way has Adams given up on the high jump? I know he broke his foot last year but come on it's his senior year and it's only jumping.
  7. TEMPLE FANS SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness the man did't come to see the Great White Hope at Temple. Who cares!!! If you think Caleb deserves to be higher than what Gomab has him ranked, you my friend have not heard of a little place called Memphis. There is probably 55 guys out there that would come to Temple and put up even more impressive numbers than "Ya Boy." I will say this, I wish Caleb and his brother lots of success at Mercer and I hope he proves me wrong. I am all about the Chatt Town getting some pub from good ballers. However Caleb is still not going to be ranked that high on anybody's Rankings sorry. The spyda has spoken.
  8. The simple fact is that Doaks is going to UTC, a team that played in the NCAA's this year and Caleb is going to Mercer, a team that might never make it to the NCAA's. Also Caleb is 6'0 Doaks is 6'8. I heard a very wise quote from a very wise man once, he said, "Ya' can't coach height." Truer words have never been spoken. Caleb is solid but, if you were to put him in a game aginst the likes of big-time college players, Would you even notice a 6'0 white kid? Or would you notice a 6'8 kid dunking all over the place? Be honest! Rankings of high school players are based upon their PROJECTED success at the college level. AND all you Temple fans 6'8 beats 6'0 in PROJECTED college success 95% of the time.
  9. MNEW you definately handled that very well. I still believe a game of horse is needed to decide the overall champ though.
  10. CBR that's rough. REALLY, REALLY rough. WOW MNEW I believe you just got called out. Are you gonna let him talk like that ? What are you gonna do about it? I know if he just called me out like that, we'd be taking it to a game of horse at the local playground, but that's just me.
  11. Adams had a solid year, but the award will go to Skogan. Credentials: 32-2(2 losses is two losses), 4th straight trip to the state tourny, #1 in the state polls all season, Top scorer, assist, and steals on his team, and finally he was on top of the leader board for the city in nearly every statistical category. Oh yeah that talk about Chuck Little getting the All-CITY POY is crazy talk Ooltewah is as far as the city goes. He is def. all-area POY. Who is everyone's guess to make the All-City team? Jeff Smith of Tyner will make it, undeservingly might I add. But who is everybody else thinking?
  12. Gomab, I'm not sure how much Chattanooga Ball you have gotten to watch, but if there are any players that you would like to see, could you please post their names. The reason that I ask is because I know alot of the real good players (that haven't signed) from around here, and I would hate for these guys to miss the chance to get some exposure. Thanks
  13. Garland, that is exactly what I'm talking about. What were the expectations for Bradley at the start of the District tourny? I know for a fact it wasn't to just make it to the region tourny. They were wanting to make it to state and when they got there they were wanting to win it. So yes they did have a good season, however they were still a dissapointment because they lost!
  14. I will have to go with Bradley Central. They were number the number 2 team in class AAA, plus White Station ( the team that would never let them take the state crown) was having a down year. This was without question their year. A loss in the first round of the region is bad enough but to Red Bank and by 20. Wow they have to be the biggest flop of the season. What are everyone else's thoughts?
  15. Okay those are Mr. Basketball type numbers. I guess I was wrong once again. Maybe the people who vote do know something I don't. Congrats 49 and 25 are almost unheard of numbers to put up in a Region Tourny. Oh yeah were most of his points on dunks, offensive putbacks, or did he just overpower the 6'10 Glab kid?
  16. I'm predicting that whoever wins it........WON'T WIN STATE!!! So seriously who cares anymore? Congrats to the victor, its been a great season but it's done now.
  17. Can we say SAND BAGGING!! CSAS has just been playing with everybody I guess. I am happy for CSAS, but i'm not looking forward to reading Coach Dragoo's comments in the paper. I wonder who will have "talent pouring out of their ears" tonight. Good luck with Walker Valley. Ooops I might've just jinxed them. It seems like everybody is getting jinxed.
  18. I know I get on here and bash single A Temple alot, but in all honesty Temple was the 2nd best team i saw play all year. The team who was number is no longer in the Tourny, so they don't even get a mention. The things that Coach Wadley is able to do over there with the number of kids he has to work with, should simply be commended. You take any school with 200 kids and you might have 4 or 5 DECENT athletes. I would give more credit to Coach Wadley than any other coach in the city of Chattanooga. Temple is a dominate team in A, but i would be willing to say that in a district like 6-AA they would still be a number 1 or 2 seed. Coach Wadley just gets those boys ready to play. Besides if Skogen's keep popping up out of no where Temple may never give up that number 1 spot.
  19. Thanks icecold i'm glad someone could appreciate my humor. I will say that Temple will win state, for the simple fact that I couldn't care less about A basketball. AAA in Memphis is where the real basketball is played.
  20. Revolution I will agree that you are crazy. You take Temple and I will take Northside ( isn't that the team with the Delk's). Or I'll take Giles, Bradley, Cleveland, Brainerd (with Corey), CSAS, or even South Pitt (just playin Temple will beat South by as many as they want). I just looked up how many kids Temple has, 184, and I was shocked that they could even field a competitive B-Ball team. I will say that as soon as football season starts next season that number will be down to about 150, 30 kids are going to spend some time on IR with various injuries.
  21. Mouw will play him better than anyone else has played him. Both Mouw and his older brother play great low post defense against bigger, stronger, more athletic guys. I won't say that he will shut him down, because i feel that A. Robinson is as good as everyone ( mostly south pitt fans) say he is he can't be shut down, just controlled. However, the game will not be decided in the low-post, it will be decided at the guard spots. It all depends on how good Caleb wants to look going into the region CHUMPionship (single A is Chumps). Temple is the best team in the state, their not overly cocky, but still I really would like to see SP beat them. TEMPLE by 20 at least
  22. Icecoll it's about time that CSAS finally played. I still believe that Howard will take the region crown. And my surprise of all surprises, finishing second will be East Ridge. Mark my words ER will once again surprise. It's a good thing that the game is tonight so that i can see if i'm right or not.
  23. When I started the thread, i was justing wondering what everyone else was thinking. The reason why I was so shocked by his nomination was because i have heard so much about all the other guys. Maybe Little is one of the best players in the state and those of us in the Chatt are have just been spoiled by seeing him play so many times. I personally have not seen any of the other guys play and could not comment on their talent levels. I will agree that he is a dominant force downlow at the high school level. And for the comments about his collegiate success they might not all be true. Look at Alphonso Pugh at UTC. He is a 6'6 post player at the D-1 level (I know it's UTC and its AA but work with me) and was a Pre-season all-conference guy. Chuck is alot more athletic than Pugh was at this stage in his career. I'm the type that wants every single kid who gets recognition succeed, so I wish him good luck at the next level.
  24. I will definately give him his props, he could do any dunk you called out with ease. He can make some mean lay-ups to. To say that playing a tough schedule gets him ther nod it's possible. Still at 6'5 and being able to jump he should not let a team triple team him down-low, he should be able to take the game outside of 10ft. Like another poster said the voters really dropped the ball.
  25. I stand corrected one of the Delks made it. But still could someone please name some alternates for Little?
