  1. With all this certainty from Mustang fans that they got this...I think I'm going to go with NCS for the win. Too much trash talking going on here...so I see an upset on the horizon and I'm not even a NCS fan! But even I have to admit, the Eagles are on a roll, on fire, and yes, very well coached.

Please keep these posts updated Friday night with the score for those of us who can't make the long drive to Paul Ward Stadium.

  2. Uhm...BahamaMama your team lost 2 weeks ago.? Why are you still here?

So if your team it out you can't post or have an opinion? Is that the boys only rule? Oh, now I get it it. All you Daddy's living through your kids. So why don't you pull your pants up over your beer belly and get over the fact that you aren't out on that football field anymore!!! And before you get upset that a girl just stood up to a boy, I'll sign off and try to remember my place, in the kitchen right?

  3. Not whining...just stating a different point of view. You know, a true champion would be a little more humble. But I'm not surprised at the words and actions of someone like you NCSDad1962.

Seriously can't wait for the 40 weeks to pass and face NCS again. And win or lose, as long as it is done on a level playing field, I will accept whatever outcome.

  4. trojans got ripped on that long td, hensleys feet were in and the goofy ref waived it off from at least 55 yards away. trojans played hard and showed that we can play with anybody. to be a religous school they sure played dirty. well gotta go to bed takin my kid hunting in the am. CONGRATS TROJANS ON A GOOD RUN. NCS safe travels. Out till next football season. God bless our troops and God bless America.

Wow - this is a total repeat of what happened in round 2 against CA. CA had a TD that was in but the ref from several yards away called it out. But game film clearly showed otherwise. Also, totally agree with your statement "to be a religious school they sure played dirty."

  5. Yes, Jacob Rugen from CA should be considered because as a new out of state transfer to the program and as a junior starter at QB/LB, he had over 1000 rushing and 1500 passing. On a couple games where CA was up, Jacob only played half the game so his stats would have been even higher had they kept him in. Great kid - extremely hard worker, great character and always leads by example.

  6. And I wish we could stay on topic but the minute anyone says anything about NCS that their fans, parents, etc. don't like, they get all upset and start being downright nasty. I wish they would get a life and realize this is a blog where the point is to express an opinion, start a conversation, debate, etc.

  7. NO wildcat89, not all private schools recruit. The ones that follow the rules and don't want to risk losing accreditation do not recruit. In fact, prospective students are told they will have to sit out a year of sports if they transfer to the school. So sadly, that limits new students that may want to attend. The only new players that come are ones that move from out of state. So saying that private schools recruit is false unless some rule has changed recently. If it has, please let us all know and the game will change!

  8. Seriously Sherry, how does that work...switching schools for the purpose of playing football? I thought that could be viewed as "recruiting?" So did your son have to sit out a year from sports when he switched from Brentwood Academy to Nashville Christian to play for that football coach? Please let me know as I know several players that might like to be added to the NCS roster next season.

  9. Yes NCS won, and yes they played better offensively and defensively. However, it would have been a different story had CA not been shut down for most of the week due to illness that effected most of the team, students, teachers and coaches. So to be fair (and not whining, complaining, etc.) CA was not playing at 100% and that game was not a true reflection on their abilities as a team and coaching staff.

Also, heard that when the team watched the game film, the TD that was called incomplete (ref said #44 caught the ball out of bounds) was indeed inbounds and should have counted. So NCS got yet another lucky break in that game. Again, not complaining, whining, etc., just stating the facts! So before you NCS fans wet your pants over my comments and start being nasty, let me reiterate for the slow ones that I'm not whining or complaining or being classless, I'm merely giving an observation of the obvious (and don't forget my opening statement of how NCS played better offensively and defensively.

  10. Tell Collinwood to contain #7 NCS's fast, skinny RB. NCS's offense revolves around him so seriously, contain him! And it was mentioned before, watch out for facemasks and illegal motions from NCS. Hopefully the officials will catch them and it will be a good game between two talented teams. Go Trojans!!!

  11. Hey NewEra2, not complaining about the loss last night, just making an observation. Stop being so defensive...With my comment of "NCS had the upper hand", any sane person would get that I was saying the NCS was the dominant team last night. I will state, however, I think both teams are talented and evenly matched but it wasn't in the cards last night for CA to overcome the adversities they were facing and win. So NewEra2, please accept your win graciusly and stop being a disgrace and meanie!
