I'm glad old pats73 is back at it again! No knowledge of anything but loves to run his chops! Spelling hasn't got any better either! Coach Murphree is a great guy and he will do well. Walnut Street Mafia???Once again you need to do more research with your son who wasn't good enough to cut it in DC and you just can't let it go. You got one thing right though our Girls sports do well. Final 8 in State, Girls Softball won 1 State and 2 runner ups in the last 3 years. I can go on but I will let pats73 tell you the rest! For what its worth. Clarksville has a lot of talent on this team. The Dickson County Cougars pulled out a close one last night. There were several studs in purple last night. Sad to hear what happened about the player being ineligible because this team would have went far in the playoffs. I know you guys didnt ask for the refs that were there last night but they have to be the worst crew I have ever seen ref a game. Totally oblivious there was a football game on the field. Got way out of hand with trash talking and punches thrown and etc. Players were very chippy early last night and the refs never had the game in control.

The exact response I knew I would get from a Henry faithful. No class at all. Just don't get it ?

No excuses coming from this guy. Henry County is good. Dickson County offense as I said would not be shutout. DC put up 4 touchdowns and actually could have been more before half. HC is strong on defense but only at stopping the run. Better work on this if a gold ball is in your future. The inability to throw will also prevent you guys from going deep in the playoffs. But I'm sure you know this. For what its worth.....A team with class takes a knee with 1:20 to go. Subs or no subs....you can say what you want about our coaches....this would never happen with a DC coached team. I'm sure someone would call this whining.. someone with character would be ashamed.

Uh oh someone wasn't drinking ! Cougars are giving Henry land all they want tonight so far ! Actually could be tied or leading now. Anyone doubt my thoughts now ? Pats looks like Waffle House will have to wait !

It is Fall Break in DC so most have hit the beach ! If Henry brings several your one prediction will be correct pats on the crowd. There is no way 54-0 is final in tonight's game. I doubt you will see Waffle House until after the game because this one will be closer than you give the Cougars credit for. I will hope to hear some credit after the game is final that I was closer to the score tonight than anyone else on here. Pats one question for you. If you enjoy bashing the Cougars so much why do you go to the game? Seems to me Waffle House suits you better than attending games on Friday nights? If HC can find jobs for Superintendent's in the past who have stud players as their sons surely they can find you a job as well !

I believe you guys will get to see a good game tonight. Rivalries are more interesting when both teams win ! It has been awhile since DC has beaten HC hence the lack of motivation to see this game played again. As I mentioned earlier these kids could have easily won 2-3 more games....mistakes have loomed large. If DC can overcome making silly mistakes this will be a great game. It will be far from the predicted scores I have seen posted on this site. My prediction 31-28 and we will see who wins !

Wow ! This topic has definitely peaked some interest ! Looking back in the past I'm sure Henry County had some dark days as well with losing seasons and despair. If I remember correctly DC went to the 2nd round of the playoffs just 3 years ago with a 10-2 record. That was a very talented team. That team had 2 players that now plays at UT Martin (a kicker and a LB) a TE/LB /Punter that starts at UT Knoxville leading the SEC in punting and others that went on to play in college. Talent is a tricky thing....you have it or you don't ! Enrollment doesn't matter if talent is not there. I believe it is not great right now but this team is very young. A freshman running back, a sophomore receiver and 3-4 junior receivers as well as a junior quarterback. No excuses, just sharing information that a former 60 year old Dad that had a son that never got to play in DC doesn't know. If he had been at DC that long he should know the past. 3 years ago the staff was there that is basically there now. Someone other than me from DC that would like to post chime in ! I don't have the answers....just sharing what I know. Parents are always bitter when their child sits the bench.

Drewcephus how many feeders does Henry have ? How many freshmen are on the team this year ? Would like to share this info with the 60 year old man from Henry County that apparently thinks he knows a lot about football. DC is like other counties who are small and are on the outskirts of the big cities who have more than 1 school in the county. Talent is down. Normally comes in waves. Maybe Pats73 should quit his job and fix football in DC. I'm sure he has the answers !

Pats you obviously cannot count. They may have 60-75 out at Middle school. If you do your research most will tell you the feeder program is exactly what the problem is. On average they are lucky to get 30 how many freshmen does Henry have ? How many feeders does Henry have? If I was guessing you are a parent of a child who didn't get to play due to either he was not an athlete at all or wasn't good enough....am I close. Have I hit a nerve ? If you had any sense you would know that one feeder sending you at best 30 makes it tough for any program in 5/6 A Football

Football in Dickson County has changed due to several reasons. The main one is probably the new school at Creek Wood. There is not enough talent in the county to split it. If the likes of Henry County was split in half you too would see a change. Regardless of what some of you are chiming in to say coaches are only as good as their Jimmies and their Joe's and there aren't many Jimmies or Joe's in all of Dickson County much less at Dickson County High School. It would be a pretty easy job for anyone to have 100+ to pick from each year in Paris. It is fall break in DC so most will be on vacation this week. The crowd will be short for sure. I believe that HC will have their hands full on Friday night as anyone that has watched this bunch knows they are very powerful on offense. They could easily be 5-1 right now if you take out a few plays. Looking forward to watching the rivalry crank back up. Patriot fans don't take these guys lightly !
