  1. I think 33 just 14 shy of Siegel's entire team. GO EAGLES!!!!!
  2. Lets give the young man his props. Andrews blasts Siegel for 33. By far the best player on the floor. Great game by a great young man and his team. Congrats to Andrews and all his fellow EAGLES.
  3. I've thought for a while about what to say----- well EMMANUEL ANDREWS sums it up. Great game Eagles.
  4. Great game with win over a good Cookeville team. Shelbyville had players step up and play well. Andrews was his typical self. Hats off to soph. Bobby Wilson, he played a great game. Quin Marable handled the ball well as did Starnes did at times. Nathan Jeffries and Seth Jarrell contributed as well. A good team effort without the floor general Deonta Twilley. Everyone should be proud---the team played through some adversity and handled themselves well. Good luck next Tuesday. Great job Kevin Thomas---the real Coach of the Year out of Distrcit 8-AAA.
  5. UNBELIEVABLE FC WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? By the way great game between columbia and shelbyville.. was very much worth the money... EA had 32 for the co mvp
  6. I agree I'm finished belly aching. Game could still be a good one. Some of the younger Eagles will have to play an A game. If Andrews gets hot the Eagles could pull it off. Can't wait til tipoff.
  7. Nothing to say about the truth. Just as I would figure.
  8. WOOOOOOWWWWW it has been told today that there is not an appeal process in the TSSAA for an officials judgement call. This confirms my beliefs all along---these fools are not accountable for anything while a 17/18 year old kid is being punished for an unintentional act. There is something wrong with this picture!!! Game film clearly shows no contact made with boys head or face. What a shame. School administrators should demand that this be looked at and adjustments made. Good luck KT and the mighty Eagles!!!
  9. not pointed at you... just going along with you...
  10. Envy is a terribly thing. Why not play a team straight up without trying to hate on two of the best players in the district. I guess everyone has a game plan.. and congratulations to you guys who finally got Twilley suspended.. Did not work with E, but got to Tay.. Play ball and quit trying to hate on players that are better than you..
  11. You are exactly correct Twilley is and is being held accountable for his actions. Most likely a 2 game suspension. You mention the other kid being responsible for his---are you suggesting a consequence--give me a break. I do totally agree with you on the TSSAA officials---No accountability at all. Maybe a change is needed in the upper administration within the TSSAA if that is truely the case.
  12. Again the whole "JAB" talk is amazing. I guess my thoughts on jabbing or deliberately hitting someone is different. By the way hand-checking is part of the game, bear hugging is not. Also some of these other coaches need to get control of their kids. There is a fine line in aggressive play and trying to hurt anothe player. Twilley and Andrews have been targets for some time lately. If you can't control your players maybe you need to look into other jobs. Directed at you Coffee Co. coach. Another thing that bothers me is the coach from Franklin County who voted Andrews the 15th best player in the Distrct to get his player a tie for Distrcit player of year. Can you say ETHICS in Franklin County?
  13. Kid may have been checked after game but he continued to play for the remainder of time. If it was as bad as some of you are making it out to be he would have not finished game on the court. In saying that I hope he is OK.
  14. A deliberate jab give me a break. If that had been the case, I know Deonta well enough he would have planted his fist right between the kids eyes. So lets be careful how we label the incident. Keep your head up Tay and good luck Eagles.
  15. Not real sure where it ends. Good question but I do know where it started--my opinion is in Coffee Co. I have seen that game film and the officials were absolutely horrible. As I stated before the one who actually threw Twilley out of game got reamed for his lack of whisle blowing several weeks ago by his supervisor. I hope the kid does not have a concussion as I hope that Twilley does not have any back strain as the kid was mugging him. I'm not making any excuses but the officials act as though they are untouchable. In these hard economic times if they are taking any money at all ---that in itself should be considered robbery.
  16. What a shame. The ref that threw Twilley out of the game was the lead official during the Shelbyville --- Coffee Co. game several weeks ago. Officials let that game get totally out of hand. I'm sure he got his rear end reamed out by his supervisor and this is how he corrects his inability to officiate a ballgame. I don't know your name but you should feel real good about yourself on this Sunday afternoon. Anyone have any idea if Ronnie Carter knows how darned sorry officials are in the middle Tenn. area? What I also wonder is this---Twilley is ejected from game and is held accountable for his actions with a two game suspension. Do the officials have any accountability to anyone for their butchering of a game. Are they also suspended or fined? If not, should be.
  17. Out coached you got that right. And KT will be ready for these boys as well. Should be a good game and there was a reason your #1 scorer only mananged 5 points. COACHING..... They only problem is no one on siegel can stop andrews, the best pure shooter and player in the region. His only downside is if he is off, whice I know him very well and he steps up on big occassions. And who can stop the penetration of twilley?? cat like skills.. Quick and sees the floor with better than anyone. Good luck you guys are going to need it. Well not you since you are a blackman fan. GO EAGLES
  18. The reason Shelbyville will win, is that they have a lot of depth. Anyone on that team is capable of scoring in double digits. One of thier best scorers will come off the bench. Stop Andrews and you have to tend to Haile, France, Ransom, Cooper, Jarrell, Twilley, and even Robertson. So good luck with that.
  19. Well if you guys would pay the officials off like we do here in Shelbyville yall might get some calls going your way. I highly doubt that the officialls huddle up and say " Ok boys we are in Shelbyville tonight so lets stick it to the other team" come on now lets just face the facts. Shelbyville has a winning program, both boys and girls, Envy sets in and everybody has a problem with loosing. I will tell you how to stop the fans and the refs from Making You Lose.. Practice more and get better.
  20. If you had to put a point spread on this one it would still be over 20. Shelbyville is just to strong and deep to even be close to getting beat in the district.
  21. FCJ long time no see, I dont think these guys really know how good shelbyville really is. You think anyone will come close to beating these guys in the district? By the way i keep tabs on your girl through the paper and glad she is doing good.
  22. Let me put this in a more professional tone. I truly believe that people that work hard should be given a chance and rewarded at some point. In this county, Coach Spencer has put in more time and effort towards girls basketball than any other person or persons besides Rick Insell and Mark Potts. With that being said and it is fact, I think #1- He deserves a chance over anyone else, #2- I think if you want to build a PROGRAM he knows how and he has the network to help him out, #3- He will be in it for the long haul, he is a young energetic person and not someone who may be tinkering on retirement age, and #4- Whether I'm a good friend, family member, agent, or possibly just a sports fan he will be in it for all the right reasons.
  23. Let me make this statement. I too was one of those little knuckle-dragging, snotty nose kids who once played for Ralph and I have known him for almost 25 years (I'd bet this is a little longer than u) and I like him fine but with that being said I still feel strong about my comments made earlier. Another bit of food for thought, No One will out work Coach Spencer if given the chance to coach at either of the schools. The success of the football program is spelled out KENNY PARKER a great coach and even better person. Oh yeh I say this because he too was a coach of mine.
  24. Just stating facts! Spencer is more knowledgeable and passionated about the game of basketball than any other name brought up to coach at either Cascade or Community.
  25. Who will be the next girls coach at the high school? Any names of potential hires?
