I will say this: Union City has one of the most unique run schemes in our area, and they are pretty proficient with it. We were able to hold them to 2 scores. Run defense hasn't been a concern for Huntingdon all year. Until last night, it had been a strength of the team. Riverside didn't do anything really special. They just lined up and handed it to #25 every play. Sometimes 4, 5, or 6 plays in a row.. We didn't have an answer for it. D-line got pushed back and LB's got drug 2-3 yards on nearly every play.
Riverside run defense was more dominant than their run offense Huntingdon’s offense did nothing against them. Defense gave up 14 points in first half after being on field the whole half because offense did nothing. They play great the second half. If not for some undisciplined 15yd penalties don’t think Riverside would have scored in second half.

The weather seems like it’s going to be a lot better than last weekend. Good luck Mustangs hope to see you playing next Saturday. Go Mustangs!!

I don’t think he’s talking as much as the quality it’s the whole notion of that network scamming these schools and creating another money racket for the TSSAA and yes on top of that using a poor video feed to justify it. U would’ve got a 750 dollar check from TNL if they could’ve live streamed it. Probably more than that network
Anything tsssa is involved with concerning money is a scam.

using that theory, you should immediately ban radio broadcasts of high school sporting events as well.
You apparently don't understand the exposure that a school can recieve. Family who live out of state or out of country can see family members play. Out of town alumni can watch their school play and increase donations. A fan at home may see a game on video and come to the game next week There are any number of reasons to keep video streaming. The loss at the gate is minimal.
Your own administration needs to re read and better understand the media regulations put in place by the TSSAA. Based on last Friday against UC, they don't understand them too well.
You should call the administrator and read and explain it to him. And maybe he would change it because you don’t like the quality of the videos.

I understand exposure and if a school is going to video games the schools should do it and receive all the money. They have someone videoing every game from several different angles anyway. I don’t know how many public schools get donations from fans watching football online. And radio is nothing like video but there’s some radio personality that need canceled.

NFHS is the biggest scam, another racket for TSSAA. Yeah they are their own network but TSSAA gets it cut out of it. From what I understand they charge 20000 just to install the cameras. Then they may or may not broadcast the game with no announcing. You have to subscribe for a crappy broadcast and don’t see that making much of a dent in that 20,000 already spent. Like last week we would have paid our 750.00 for live-streaming it. Think they would have made more off that w of course TSSAA getting their share of that as well. Can’t believe the number of schools that went w it. Would’ve loved to hear that sales pitch.
Why would schools allow somebody to video games anyway? I’m sure it cuts down on attendance.

Huntingdon’s offense is going to have to step up and play this week. The defense kept them in the game and won it for them last week.

It seems quiet on all of the topics. A few years back these would be 30+ pages. Only thing anyone is talking about is who is going to coach the powerhouse that is Huntland.
I remember these topics going over a 100 pages.

Biggest game of the year so far for these two teams and hardly any chatter on the t.

Naw he’s the shifty one. Played rb most of the game. Don’t get me wrong he wasn’t small but Thomas is bigger
I thought Thomas was the better back in the first game. Then they quit running him.

That was Perez. He’s out for the year
Perez is the bigger back?

130 carries 801 yds 11 tds in 3 playoff games he is a work horse and doesn’t shy away from it
So he’s all the offense Riverside has now? Never understood why they quit running him after the first series in the first meeting.

LOTS of respect for the RIverside program. Looking forward to what promises to be a Great night of Black Friday High School Football!2 teams with the same record, fighting for a chance to go to the State Championship game. This would be Huntingdon's first appearance in 10 years, and 5th overall; This would be Riverside's first appearance ever.
Riverside wants this win BADLY, Huntingdon is starving for another GOLD ball to add to the collection. Which team will want it more Friday night ??
Huntingdon won last meeting in the regular season 33-7.( started 4th Quarter 12-7).
My completely biased opinion - Huntingdon is firing on all cylinders right now. The Defense, which was the weakest part of the team early in the regular season has absolutely found its mojo. The addition of Aiden Hilliard has helped solidify this D- Line. Add that in comparison with Perez's injury for RIverside gives Huntingdon the advantage. I Honestly see this as a 7-10 point difference game. Best wishes to RIverside, I have several friends there and will be meeting up with several of them to discuss the big game directly before kickoff.
The Guru's predicton:
Huntingdon - 20
Riverside - 7
Hilliard plays linebacker not dline

Wasn’t MASE #1. They played teams that most middle school teams would have raked.
Farley had one the highest scoring offenses to.

Tyner had over 300 total yards of offense against a Brian Nix led Alcoa. And they have the number #3 defense in the entire state for all classifications.
That's just what the rest of 2A is up against this year.
#3 defense that would be hard to rank unless every team played each other

I do hope Huntington wins. However Westview with a healthy QB would have been a better matchup with Tyner. Should be fun to see how it plays out.
If Tyner makes it to the championship they should have the advance over what ever team that comes out of the west. They won’t have to travel get to sleep in their own beds night before game. Not sure but would figure the team out of west would go up night before. But might be better to leave morning of game players would probably get more rest.

You gotta be the only one. Most Mustang fans I know expected this team to win 6 games and make the 2nd round, 3rd at best..
This team is super young and has overachieved all year. The improvements I've seen since week 1 have been amazing. Someone said it earlier, but I will reiterate: this has been the best coaching job Swenson has done since he's been the head coach at Huntingdon.
I put more on the players wanting to win and not ever thinking their out of the game more so than coaching. I don’t think they’re overachievers they’re players that gel together.

Mustangs should be the best battle tested of the two teams. Think Huntingdon has played a much tougher schedule. And it should show in this game.

Mckenzie is a very classless team. Never seen a whole team rush the field and start waving goodbye and screaming at the players and fans in my life. That was an exceptionally crass thing and really shows the maturity level of the teams and really the coaches. What kind of school can condone that behavior. They played a heck of a game, but very disappointing in their temperament and actions. Mckenzie seems to be producing a group of loutish, uncivilized little boys.

Got to go with the Mustangs!!

The goal line stop was first half. UC had plenty of time on clock to score when the interception occurred. It’s a new night tonight and the better will win hope it’s Huntingdon because it’s to cold to sit in the cold for a losing effort.

Not necessarily. UC shot themselves in the foot with the bad pitch and fumble late in the game when it was tied up. Then after Huntingdon scored there was no time on the clock left to score especially with the offense that UC runs. The interception was just a prayer from UC that was not answered.
There was over 3 minutes left when UC was drive down the field one score down on their last possession when Huntingdon intercepted the ball and ended the game. I guess when Huntingdon stop UC inside the five 4 times they shot theirself in foot to.

Did say it didn’t and I will be the first to say you all had a great second half adjustment. But things could be different this time. I know you all will speak up for your team and I wouldn’t expect anything less but I’m going to speak up for mine also.
You said defense wins this one. I just reminded you defense won the last one.

The Quarterback is a great athlete and young also. Few more years with him if I’m correct. Defense wins this one and UC defense is going to be out to show how dominant they can be. The front will get more pressure which will cause rushed passes and give our DB’s a chance to slow down the pass. The running game will be slowed even more by penetrating the line with more than one person which will account for the blockers and giving at least one if not two defenders a chance to bring the runner down. Our linebacker crew is a major asset to the defense but this game will be decided by the front line play and I promise Coach Markle has preached this and UC D-Line is hyped up and ready to attack and get that statement Defensive Win. It will be a true battle.
If I’m not mistaken defense drove the final nail in the last meeting.
Riverside Vs Tyner for the shiny gold ball.

Nobody was making excuses I was saying their defense was more impressive than their offense And Huntingdon defense made adjustments at halftime and their offense didn’t. And Huntingdon had stupid penalties they should’ve of had.
