  1. I WOULD NOT SAY THAT WC WORKED THEM OVER. STOWN LED MOST OF THE GAME. I THOUGHT WC RECEIVED SOME QUESTIONABLE CALLS EARLY, AND GOT IN SOME FOUL TROUBLE. THEN IN THE LAST TWO MINUTES STOWN HAD TWO BAD CALLS AND ONE NO CALL THAT PUT THEM IN A POSITION OF HAVING TO FOUL AND WC RESPONDED BY MAKING THEIR FOUL SHOTS. I THINK IT WAS A GOOD GAME THAT COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY.
  2. True: Someone needs to inform Coach of this. And while they are at it ,they need to tell him that rebounding, defense, ball handling, speed, and team play is also part of the game. I realize the degree of size and talent is down, but with the experience of these players have from last year and half of this year they should be a much better team.
  3. I take it that you are talking about the same coach who pulled his two best starters out with 2 minutes left and trailing by only 11 points. This is not Summertown basketball. Our tradition is not to give up as long as there is a chance to win. I hear he has 38 or 39 plays. I have never seen but one, and that is to give me the ball and let me shoot, while at the same time he has his play sheet (or sheets) jn his hand shouting directions and distracting and confusing the players. I can see that the past 2 years for this team has been lost. WHAT A SHAME!!!!!!!!
  4. I would say that having a new coach would definately be a plus for the team
  5. Looks as though we will to put up with the same type of play all year. Against Perry Co. we came out bombing the three pointers and wholesale substituting. Rebounding was poor (except for Scott). We are not playing as a team. True, we won by 15, but it should have been 30. I think this team could be a good young team if they learn to play as a team. But as long as we keep having the wholesale substitutions and keep taking the 2 for 27 percentage three point shots and do not rebound we will see the Summertown tradition of winning keep sliding back.
  6. True, they must have some kind of inside game. Timmy Beard showed what he could do in the Richland game, if he will become more consistant. It is very discouraging to that part of the team that plays hard on both defense and offense, to have that other part of the team put the ball in the air no matter what kind of shot they have. Also Coach Hunt must realize that high school games cannot be won ny wholesale substitutions. If its playing time your concerned about, give it to them one, two, or even three at a time, but not all five--the talent is jist not there.
  7. It is all the money game. You can bet your life money was discussed at the TSSAA meeting when the rigged drawings were made. It would be nice if there was another organization to compete with the TSSAA and their high paid officials.
  8. CollinwoodCC Collinwood and Summertown--two good teams--too bad it was decided by an incompetent,Barney Fite type person, impersonating an umpire.
  9. I was hoping the firing of the Rutgers Coach might wake up some of the Coaches and Principals as to Coaches actions and abuses of players (both physical and mental). District 12A has definately had their share in the past few years. Cursing, a filthy mouth, or abuse of any kind should not be tolerated, and the Principal should be the one to stop it.
  10. We have different views on several things, but one thing I think we can agree on is that Seth will be MVP
  11. no need to continue, when you can only see one side of the conversation, one would think you could see that the talent and experience is just not there, and you can't fix things if you don't have the tools to fix them. Another problem for Coach Hunt for tonight is that Luke Scott has the flu and may not play at all, if so, it will be limited. Nuff said--let' just support the team tonight.
