A friend of mine in the stands said that in their first meeting earlier in the year that all the TV timeouts helped the Smith County guys stay rested. No tv timeouts tonight and East is putting on a butt kicking. 

i heard the same thing about the tv timeouts. that rest is an advantage when a guy like groves is on the other side of the ball

my senior year we played at Ridgeway in the semis, they didn’t have a kicker. no field goals, no punts, no XP’s. the only time someone in their team touched the ball with their foot all night was kickoffs. and i’m sure if they could find a way to do that without kicking it, they’d take that too.
