  1. Columbia by 10. I too believe that the "unbeaten" trend will continue, but they have GOT to start playing to their potential EVERY GAME if they expect to go far during tournament time. I doubt that too many games like the lawrence co. game will give them a bid at state champs! They have a great coach and some excellent players but that kind of effort just doesn't seem to be state material. All year we've played to our opponets potential....It's tourney time, and time to turn up the intensity. All of the teams from here on will be high quality teams, all with the ability to pull off an upset...Turn it up girls, one quarter of play won't get you where you want to go!!!! Go Lady Lions! thumb
  2. What rock have you been under??? Ok, let's look at what Coach Moore had last year...Same team + armstrong (who was benched b/c she displayed an "attitute" of wanting to do things her way). Now, to quote another post: "I do think that Coach Moore is a good coach, but look at the players she has to work with, they're outstanding. She has all the possible weapons she could want. My Grandmother could go in there as coach and win several games. What's scary, is Coach Moore is only losing one starter to graduation, Nancy Moore. She will have one more good year but if I were Coach Moore after next year I'd be looking for a promotion." I agree maybe your grandmother could win a few, but could she be the first coach in school history to go undefeated in the district (12-0), win coach of the year, and carry last years team to the state tourney (which no one expected, not even the players)????? Really, wake up! You guys want to turn what has been a truly amazing feat into a certain eventuality. So, I guess you're saying that destiny just waited for coach Moore to arrive to start setting school records for wins, and seasonal district champs, RIGHT? REALITY CHECK!!! You show me a player not listening or executing and I'll show you a starter on the bench. If armstrong is the difference, then why wasn't she the "difference" at the other school she played at??? It takes a great coach to bring out Great players and with 4 all district players...Moore is bringing out the best in her players! Now, coach Moore, step back and take a look at your undefeated in dist. 8AAA, history setting, all district, team............and smile! Great Job, couldn't have done it without ya. The prayer after each game at half court is also a class act. Keep up the good work and go get the gold.
  3. Let's be real...the lady lions will probably walk away a winner from Ralph Benson Mem. Gym on tues. night. However, the lady lions must play a well balanced game and be ready for anything. If columbia doesn't win by AT LEAST 15, they didn't come to play. The lions are bad about getting off to a slow start and then taking over the game late in the first half. If Columbia wins tonight they will secure their first district championship in over 40 years....WOW!!! Kudos to coach Moore for the excellent job at bringing the program up to the status it's at now. Go Lady Lions!!!!!
  4. sorry about the double post...maybe someone will delete the other. I agree, columbia should win but you just never know. This game is at Lawrenceburg and anything could happen there. I heard their big girl down low (can't remember her name) is out for the season. That means that Central will for sure be seeing some different looks with the unexpected injury?????
  5. What do you think? Central has a lot to lose and Lawrence County is fighting for the home court in the first round of the dist. tournament. Could get good if Central thinks they've got it in the sac.
  6. Who is this Janay girl? My vote goes to Cassie! Columbia who?
