Smyrna won 4-1. I guess 7AAA will live to fight another day. I still say it is the toughest district in the state. Only time will tell. My prediction is a battle of Riverdale and Smyrna. Good luck to all teams there and it's just a biased prediction.

I wouldn't want to make that call, I haven't seen Munford or Collierville, but the rest I have and they should make for a competitive state tourney. It should be exciting!!!

Riverdale also out scored them in a play date in the early spring at CC and Riverdale played all their players and CC just played starters and both pitchers. I also know if Riverdale saw their pitcher 10 times they would score a lot of runs. I have seen her a few times and she throws hard but the ball is straight and Riverdale can hit speed. So lets leave it at even at best.

The best team did not win? How can you say that? Riverdale had more hits and less errors, you need to remember the game is over when you get all the outs. The 3 errors at the end of the game shows lack of focus and Riverdale did make there plays. I think you need to look at that post again and remember who made mistakes and who didn't.

Looks like one 7AAA team is in, now it is up to Smyrna to do there part. It should be a easy game for them. Soddy doesn't have enough pitching to stay in the game with Smyrna. I say 5-0 Smyrna.

That was tuff loss for the Coffee County girls, they should have won that game. Riverdale has won a few of these and that is what it takes to get this far. Good luck to the Warriors at state.

Richland beat a lot of good teams, but they should not have even tied Riverdale. Riverdale played an inexperienced player in center the last to innings and as you know that's how Richland got 3 runs. Look at your book if you don't remember. Lets just say Richland play well but to say they should have won is far feched. Riverdale's coach just didn't respect Richland enough and it got her a tie.

To not include 1 team from 7AAA doesn't seem right. They have the toughest district in the state from what I see. Both Riverdale and Smyrna have played strong competition outside the district. When you play that many good teams you are going to lose some but they both should be battle tested for a big game. I guess we will see but I think they both get in.

I would agree with all of them but Soody and Coffee. I think they will have a tuff battle, that is if they can win.

8-0 that's a bold prediction considering Coffee hasn't been a strong hitting team all year. You do have good pitching, but Riverdale has hit them before. I think the Warriors can come and take care of business and win 2-1. If there was to be a blow out it would be Riverdale because of there superior hitting, but I will stick with 2-1 Riverdale.

Yes that is true about the quality of teams you play will determine how good you are. I think Upperman has proven they can beat good teams, as Danial Boone comes to mind. I also think when you have one pitcher to carry the load you can't play the top teams all season long, you have to win your district, Region, sectional and state and everything else is just gravey. It looks like that is what Upperman is trying to do, I guess we will see if they get it done.

I think you should play on your high school team no matter what program it is. My daughter plays at one of the AAA power in the state. I have heard people say the politics thing all the time. One side is the coach plays favorites and the other one is the only players that play are the ones who's parents fundraise. Most of the time it is the parent sees the little girl as better than she is or she needs dad to push her and the coach will not allow it. The Connell thing is a joke, he makes promises to some kids that have no chance to play college ball. Not all but some, those pay there money with a hope but no chance. It's just a money maker and I don't think it is making much money from what I hear. Let your daughter have the experience of high school no matter what, if she is a prospect, good or bad the experience will make her better. Good luck with your decision.

If I were going to pick any one player to take there team to a State title it would be Kristen Hull. She is as mentaly tough as it comes. Give her a run and watch her work. I think they can get it done. Go luck Lady Bees!!

Our season isn't over yet. I know our girls will keep fighting till the end. So it's not over till the final game at State. We may see them again soon. The next game is the big one!!!GO WARRIORS!!!

Tssaa has Smyrna winning the district tournament already. That should motivate the Warriors to take it to a new level! It's time to show some pride Warriors!
