  1. well yes actually the 432 will get destroyed cuz rodewald, pair, and johnson have all run that or faster already and rodewald ran 427 last year so im sure he can do some big things

and yes i will destroy 1018 so that answers that question 2 i guess. the only problem is i probly wont ever get to run against you cuz a 1018 around here is worth about 9th at sectionals

Talk is cheap crippler. How many state titles do you own??????? Who are you, I'll keep a eye on you at STATE.

  2. In the upcoming track and field season I would like for all of us, coaches, fans and athletes, to show some class and dignity in everything we do in recard to track and field. Athletics is an opportunity to represent all our schools, communities and families in a positive manner. Let's all try to be good examples.

Sincerely to all, Coach R. Brewer, UCHS Track & Field

I would like to say for the most part everyone does a good job. However the athletes are the ones who are most often the cause of problems. Being in areas where they are not supposed to be is a major problem and needs to be addressed. Whether it be walking onto the track in front of runners or crossing a runway when another athlete is preparing to jump, or even the loud commotion near the throwing areas are major distractions. I would like to add that the coaches cannot be everywhere and most of the time are helping out running the meet so the athletes are on their own. Good luck to all this year!

Thanks Coach B. for being a strong supporter of sportmanship and the well being of track and field. (A sport that is hugely neglected and gets little or no recognition from Media and very small fan support.)

  3. Local sportscaster from Bristol made mention of this "rumor" and stated he felt it would happen.

I have heard Pitts wanted a shot at coaching on the college level. BA probably pays in the $100K range. Not sure King could match that. George could win at any level. If he had remained in JC they would be in the Boro next week!!!!!

I for one would like for him to go to ETSU, but they shunned him before. Bartow can't coach, but his daddy could.

  4. Listen say what you want. Greeneville can and will hang with them. They might even win if they are on cause there is no team that can shoot with them if they are on. As for size, i do believe we have shut down every team that had size with your defense we have. Thats right we actually play defense unlike any teams you have played so far. Don't expect to put up a hundred against us like you normally do because it won't happen. Greeneville will surprise you.

The heat gets turned way up for the Greene Devils, I wish them the best but having been to over 25 state tournaments I'm afraid they could get overwhelmed. However lots of great teams seem to struggle in the first round so if you have to beat them that is the best time to play them. Remember Unaka won the class A a few years ago with gutsy play and a lot of heart. IT CAN HAPPEN, that's why they play the game.

  5. Game time 5:00. DEAL WITH IT!!!! Do whatever it takes, just be there. This should be two very entertaining games and anyone could win either one. Get the women and children off the streets because it will get serious at Hal Henard Gym TONIGHT!!!! BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note to DB and Central fans: NO MATTER WHO WINS HANG AROUND AND HELP CHEER ON THE OTHER DISTRICT ONE TEAM (SCIENCE HILL).

  6. Seems to be picking up steam that George Pitts could be going "home" to King College - as Current King Head Coach Scott Polsgrove looks to be out.

King just announced plans to move to NCAA D-2.

I heard that the deal had fell through. Earlier this year the AD denied any of this was true??? Who knows. I would like to see Pitts get something like that close by. ETSU shunned him and it looks like they could sure use him now. Bartow needs to go. He can't even win the A-Sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. MY OPINION (Everyone is entitled to one)= Central needs to stay out of the press and concentrate on half court defense, they give up too many layups. Science Hill stays in your face on defense and makes it hard for Weatherford and Hess to get their shots. Gabe can create his own offense. Too many athletes for SHHS so they will win unless Cougars play a great game and the Hill has a less than normal performance.

Who knows, anything can happen. The key is who ends up 4th and plays Greeneville next week???? Go District 1 next week in Greeneville!!!

  8. It’s not a matter of stopping Bo or Levi…the key is to stop Wiggins. And Levi in my opinion will come closer to slowing him down than Bo simple because of his height. It’s just a little harder to shoot over 6’9” than it is 6’3”.

Quote from the Times-News today=Beau Hauldren was South's top scorer with 15. Levi Ashworth, the Rebels' 6-foot-9 center, fouled out with seven minutes remaining.

    Get the point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Theres been talk about this years track season on other threads. The cc boads close soon but theres still some time

Looks like some big changes in AAA this year with 4 qualifiers from each region and the running of heats and finals on seperate day at state. Thank goodness it is also been moved to MTSU!!!!
