This should be a tight race in 3A this year. I will take a stab at it 1) Meigs- Lost a great player but still return a very good point and forward from last year. 2) Rockwood- I believe some young players from last year are ready to step up 3) Grace- Lost a lot of players to graduation but has some strong young players. they return a couple of very good players 4) Harriman- Yes Harriman I heard they have some new players. Cant really confirm that. 5) Tellico- don't know a lot about them 6) Midway- some nice players returning. Always seem to underachieve. 7) Greenback- What is there to say

What does everyone think about single A. I know everyone is predicting Clarkrange to win it but I think it may be closer than people think. I am a Grace Christian supporter but I will do my best not to show my bias. Grace will be a much better team this year than last. They lost one player and their returning players are much better now than they were last year. They start a 6'1 center, a 5'11 forward (both juniors and being recruited by many schools), and also return a region MVP (Best player averaging 15 a game and also a junior) and a 3 year all district point guard. They beat a very good Meigs County team for the District and Region Championship last year. Grace lost in the sub-state game in overtime due to there best player getting injured in the first quarter. Meigs went on to beat Clarkrange in the first game at State and lost to eventual State champ Union City by I think 12. Grace also has 4 freshman that were on the Grace middle school team that lost in the TMSAA region final by 2. I know I am a homer but just making my case. Good luck to all, It should be a fun year.

Grace Christian is much improved from last year and has been knocking on the door for two years now. I know east TN doesn't get much respect and rightfully so based on past performances. But Meigs beat a good Clarkrange team at state last year and got to semi's. Grace beat that team twice for District and Region Championships and a injury to their top player kept them from advancing to State last year. Just saying they will be a team to keep an eye on.

I agree there are no guarantees. It is just my opinion. Grace will be much better than last year and they beat Midway by 30 twice and beat Meigs for District and Region Championships. Meigs had a much better team last year than they will have this year. But that's why you play the games. Grace was third last year in regular season and won District and Region so you never know. I do think District 3 will be a lot stronger than District 4 again.

3A I predict will be: Grace Meigs Tellico Harriman Midway Rockwood Greenback 4A Will be Oliver Springs Oneida Coalfield Wartburg Oakdale Jellico Sunbright

Grace girls are going to LMU, Lee University, And MTSU.

The Lady Rams of Grace Christian return 4 starters and 2 key reserves. They have some very good young talent coming up from a middle school team that was the region Championship runners up. Their starters should be All Region jr Point Guard- All-Region so. shooting guard- All Region so. Post at 6'2- All District so. forward at 5'11- All District honorable Mention jr guard and great defender- Solid fr. guard off the bench and solid jr 5'10 Post off the bench. Add a good 8th grade class to these girls and they should be very solid. Grace has been in the sub-state game the last two years hopefully they get over the hump next year.

Who has what returning and who loses a lot to graduation?

I thought the defense was OK but it was really more Bad offense. I have never seen Meigs miss so many open shots and even inside the ball didn't go down. I don't expect a repeat of that Wednesday night. It was a great game and a lot closer than I expected so props to OS. The region final should be a good one with Meigs wanting to avenge the district Championship loss to Grace.

Athens group is by far the worst. They have a poor attitude and it is all about them

Yes GCA played as bad as I have ever seen them. Not into game at all. Big mistake at this point in season. Let down after a BIG win and playing a weaker opponent is always a trap game. Don't think it will happen again.

I think the meigs coach has done a great job this year. That loss was only there 3rd of the year and they have been highly ranked all year. It did get a little ugly after the game in the way they handled the lose. Great game though the girls on both side played there guts out and were spent after the game physically and emotionally.

I am picking Oneida to win that game as well. What do you know about Oakdale, we did not play them this year.

I believe the two semi final games will be good ones. I totally agree that at this point in the season you cannot look past anyone. I think the best game by far tonight will be Tellico at Oneida. This is a strong first round region match-up.

Ok, Here we go!!!! Region 2A starts tomorrow night. Big win for the Lady Rams defeating #3 State ranked Meigs County and taking the District 3A crown for the second straight year. District 3A has three strong teams in Grace, Meigs, and Tellico Plains. I think it will play out like this, and remember just my humble opinion: First round Grace over Oakdale Meigs over Wartburg Oneida over Tellico O S over Harriman Semi-finals Grace over Oneida Meigs over Oliver Springs Final Will be another great game

Lady rams advance to the semi finals of the landair ladies classic with wins over cocke county and south green. They play a tough morristown west team Monday night at 7 in greeneville. Two big wins lady rams are starting to get healthy and coming together well.

Getting into the district schedule now. Grace has Midway at home tonight and Tellico at home tomorrow night. We have only played one district game against Greenback. Grace hopes to be getting healthy and at full speed after Christmas. The addition of Meigs to our district made it much stronger but should be some great games.

Grace opens with their HOF game on Sat. 11/16 at Grace. It will be a rematch of last years Sub-State Sectional game. Should be a great game with both teams returning the same players from last year. Grace did not play well in that game last year and expect to do much better this time around.
