  1. Yea I agree. I had the chance to see south in the Hardee's and once the little PG gets goin, they may be tough. They're long, athletic and physical.
  2. Can't wait for that matchup. It's always close, especially at Hampton. When is that going down?
  3. Hampton ahead of Unicoi? I haven't seen the bulldogs yet this year. Are they pretty loaded?
  4. What do y'all think? After the first few weeks in the season, who are the top teams in northeast tennessee? Regardless of classifications
  5. I saw where the Rice kid had a triple double the other night and I wasn't there, but did anyone there see if it was an impressive kind or performance or was it one of those where you're surprised he did at the end of the night because nothing really stood out?
  6. Betsy by at least 14. I know I picked South by a similar margin last week, but Elizabethton really impressed me with how it responded in the second half. Look for them to have a good showing this Friday and go into Greeneville week with a full head of steam.
  7. i think this might be the match-up of the week for round 1. South is a balanced, well coached team with a good defense. And despite the 69-0 beating against Fulton, Carter is an extremely talented team with a dangerous passing attack and explosive athletes on the perimeter. I like Carter in this one 35-31
  8. Said Lisa had twins? Congrats man. No greater joy in the world. Look forward to seeing then suit up for the Big Orange in about 18 years. Give my best to Uncle Jerry.
  9. I agree, without him, Betsy is good enough to beat Johnson County and they're good enough to beat North. But it's not Johnson county or north this week, it's South and they're a different animal. They're big, physical, fast and most importantly...balanced offensively. Betsy isn't the big kid on the block anymore.
  10. I was referring to Thomas...as in #28. South keys on him. Forces 9 or 12 (either way) to throw the rock. And it's all over from there.
  11. Sullivan south 42-0 over North Elizabethton 51-23 over North Sullivan south 68-0 over Unicoi Elizabethton 42-7 over Unicoi That's where. After 28, Betsy falls off BIG.
  12. Any unbiased person who has seen these two play, especially against common opponents, knows that South is at least two TDs better. Not saying it might not be close early, but after they rail in Thomas and go up a few scores, it's gonna be a long night for the otherwise mediocre cyclones. Very conservative 31-17 Rebs
  13. If I'm not mistaken, I think the tailback that Fan was talking about was out that week with a concussion, so that helped an already stellar South Defense. He did, however have 350+ rushing yards and 400+ all purpose against a pretty competitive HV team last friday. Not saying I expect a repeat performance this week, but Thomas isn't the only featured back in this week's match-up.
  14. Science Hill Happy Valley Grayson Unaka North THS in the game of the week. Unicoi
  15. I'm sayin 29-14 Unicoi, but it's close into the 4th.
  16. Alright, you guys know I talked a little trash about the 7 on 7, but now it's time for the big guys up front to join the party and play some real football. I've heard from a few people that you guys have a scrimmage today and I'd really like to come and see what northeast Tennessee smashmouth football is really all about. Anybody know what time it starts and where?
  17. Cool man, I know just havin kids willing to come in and do the work goes a long way. And that's somethin you can't coach is work ethic. I'm sure you guys will have some tune up scrimmages, but are you lookin Unicoi or Oneida to have anything? Are those local schools?
  18. All new starters at every skillposition?? Did any of those former starters go on to play college ball? Could be a long first half of the season if things don't get sorted out and young kids don't step up. Who do you guys play those first few weeks?
  19. Well, we'll agree to disagree on that one because I know from experience that skill players can make or break a ball club, but apparently you guys play a different brand of football than I'm used to. I plan on bein in the area for the majority of Friday nights in the fall tho so I might as well give it a shot, im interested...what kind of firepower does Hampton have that'll make them dangerous this year? Who are some kids I should be interested in and lookin for?
  20. I'm new to the carter county area, originally out of the Canton, OH but I'm a huge football fan so I heard about the Hampton Passing tournament an decided to go see some good football. Sadly, what I saw was not even worth the 2$ price of admission. From Hampton down to Providence Academy, I wasn't impressed with anything I saw and it felt more like I was watching a few back yard football games, instead of an actual organized 7 on 7 tourney. I sure hope this isn't all East Tennessee has to offer football wise or I may take my son and move back to where people actually know how to throw and catch.
