Heritage did their business tonight, 65-50 over McEwen!!!

I'm never surprised at the mature responses from the McEwen fans. Who is showing no class here? Did your fans have to be escorted to their cars by the police when you came to Heritage? No, but Heritage fans had police escorts because of the mature fans at McEwen. And exactly what is "the business"? Grow up.

Why are you pulling for McEwen? Heritage is the favorite to win this one. The Patriots won tonight, beating East Lit 56-45. Heritage is always the team everyone loves to hate, why is that? Because we are a young team, one starting senior and 4 juniors? Or do you just dislike us because we win? I think Heritage will go all the way this season. Oh, by the way, Heritage is now first in district play because of East Robertson's loss to Jo Byrns tonight!!!! Still going to go for McEwen? Maybe you shouldn't buy a lottery ticket either!

The Heritage Patriots won the championship game tonight against Bob Jones High School from Huntsville, AL. The score was 68-62. Way to go Patriots!!

Heritage Patriots take the win again tonight in the second round of tournament play. The score was 63-35 in a big win against Jackson Prep from Jackson, Mississippi. Jared Hill led the Pats with 29 points, Travis Doty had 14, Tyler Slagle had 11, Taylor Jarrell had 3, Destin Miller 2, Jon Gorsky 2, and Ross Albright had 2. The Patriots will play tomorrow night at 8:30 against Bob Jones, a private school located in Alabama. GO PATRIOTS!!!!! Let's bring home the trophy!!

After a rocky start, the Heritage Patriots came out and played their game last night. All I can say is, look out for the Pats this year, they are determined, focused and ready for the win. Good luck guys!!! As for Station Camp, good game,too. But, I don't see you beating Heritage this year or next!!!

i would assume your from alabama, right? well probably not so you really dont know if they have heard of him. also, a lot of this depends on how hard he works...u never know how good someone could be until they bust their butts as hard as they can and i hope he does. anyway, i think he is a great basketball player and i know he could have a future in that so he is obviously confident enough to think he could go somewhere in football.

gomab, i just want to let you know that i totally agree with your opinions. without doaks, peabody has nothing. unaka had THREE people boxing him out(or trying to) which allowed other players to get offensive boards and easy put backs. not to take anything away from caleb because he is a great player but remember he is not being TRIPLE teamed the whole game. doaks has got a lot of respect and i think it is well earned. he will succeed at utc and im excited to see everything he will accomplish. by the way, i am not biast towards him i was a just there to see basketball and he definately stood out more than any other player. ohh yeah, did i mention that unaka had THREE people guarding doaks at all times. gomab u do a great job and keep it up.

No major injuries, Taylor Jarrell rolled his ankle on the foot of a player on the bench. The NCS gym is too small for HS games, I think. No room on the sides for the bench or the fans. Destin Miller also turned his ankle but both continued to play the remainder of the game. All should be 100% at the tournament.

Can we get past the McEwen-Heritage game,please? Stop the name calling and childish behavior. Play the game on the court. Good luck to both teams during the tournament.

Heritage boys showed what they are made of last night in a win against Nashville Christian. Two players finished the game with injuries. The Patriots are now tied for first in the district with only two losses(district). Great job for a young team, starting only one senior. Congratulations to Coach Petrone on a fine season. Can't wait to see what the next few years hold for this great team of athletes. Good luck in the tournaments.

The game at McEwen was a very physical game on both sides. The refs let it get a little out of control at times. Why would you call a player a goon for falling while hustling after a ball? Ms.Warriorette? You must be a natural blonde. I was at the game and saw the incident myself. The boy hit the player with his fist in the head as he was trying to get up. Players fall all the time while playing basketball, why I believe even the great Daniel Puckett may have fallen a time or two himself. Players that are playing 110%, go all out to win.Let's keep the game on the court and leave the fans out of it. There is no reason to call names or use bad names at any time. Just play a clean,fair game and may the best team win. Both teams have a big week of games, forget this one and look forward to the next game. Go Patriots, play your game and the rest will take care of itself. Good Luck!!

I have to tell you that everyone in the region knows the Heritage players by name. I don't see Daniel Puckett's name on the top 3 point shooters list.Three Heritage players are ranked on the Tennessean web site. Hill hit 9 3's against Houston Co. and scored thirty points. I would say that is athletic. The Heritage team is well coached and very determined. They whole team is good, not just one player. They will be ready for a win tonight.

Any team can be beaten. McEwen has no team without Puckett, and if Puckett could control himself on the floor, they might have beaten Houston Co. I am not impressed with what I have seen. Bad attitudes speak louder than anything. Will that be acceptable at the college level??
