I covered it in the next post Boo. As I said I never experience that under Osteen or OC. Furthermore I have had a good experience with all the coaches the last 4 tears. May not have always liked the way things played out but they were all were good to my kid. Not trying to give u a hard time just frustrated. People always throw that mess up. I bet.. Including practicing year round in the indoor facility, losing all summer 7-7's, and calling players from Marshall County to talk about coming to Giles. i can tell you for a fact there wasn't any year round practice in the indoor facility. Speed school yes but never a year round team practice. Second according to an earlier post, the kid was in the room with the MC coach when the text was sent out to OC. Everybody knows MC wanted OC on a platter back then. Spells set up.

What did Coach Osteen do that was wrong? Bo's little brother wanted to come play for him. Was he supposed to say no you go to Giles County. I would have said come play for me and you would to. Is any coach going to tell a kid they can't come play for them?

Exactly, The deal with OC was a set up from the get go.

It just seems like many of the Giles and Marshall faithful are ok with their coaches bending and breaking the rules as long as they win! Not necessarily you but many on this board feel that way. Maybe I am just really old but I feel like high school sports should be more about what you learn and if you are learning that the most important thing is to win by all means necessary then that is not good. Hopefully high school football is not the best times of these kids lives and if it is it is a sad story for the rest of their lives. It is shameful to see parents living through their kids like many in this board. It is shameful for coaches to use kids for their gain and risk the reputation of entire communities! OC has proven that is what he is all about. Osteen is proving to be the same! Great coaches but poor role models

Smh. I don't recall Osteen or OC ever going on the field pumping a double bird! My son has played for both men and experience nothing but the will to have drive and hard-work. Just sayin. Didn'tt that come up in an earlier post?

My bad man I didn't realize this thread was still about a new coach at GCHS. Everybody has posted everything but that topic. I was referring to Kelly being on the market and would make the Tennessee Titians a great coach. Future looks bright for him and brighter for the Titians if they could land him.

I thought it was funny. I did have to look up who Donnie Baker was. LOL. I just hope the team is nothing to laugh at. As with every team there are a lot of good, hardworking kids on the team. Some of the parents are funny though.

If a kid wants to go. Go. If a parent wants to take them elsewhere. Fine. The new man in charge will still have a lot of committed, talented kids. Great things are in store for Giles in the future.

Roost this just in from a reliable source, after the first of the year Donnie Baker will take over the reins of the Giles County Football Program. I swear to god, it's true, state law.

There's not one BPM. At all. If a kid wants to be a part of your team that's great. If the kid, or the parents does not then everyone is better off going separate ways. Give me the ones that want to represent the Bobcats and Giles County. The ones who don't are names who don't count.

I thought Richland was in Giles County? Even when Giles was winning state championships they didn't need to recruit kids from other counties to do it. I know Oconnor tried but they didn't have any.

The only kids I remember transferred from Richland. BCdefense said he remembered on from LCounty. I don't remember having many players from other counties.

Lead gotta tell ya that hit just before the half against Posey was something. Thought for sure he was toast. He came out and kept his team together. Very good athlete. Another rough one next week. I was thinking Greenville but got fooled. Safe travels.

14-7 Marshall County at the half. Posey might be nursing an injury. Refs just about gave East Hamilton a touchdown to end the half. East Hamilton defense is causing the Marshall County passing game some problems.

What a hit MC. He's rattled. Passing game rattled. Gonna be tight.

No uproar from us. But just to point out, this sites strength of schedule ranking has us at 22 and Marshall at 42. Granted they rolled through theirs and.....well we didn't exactly roll. We did play 3 5a playoff teams. Played to the wire, beat one, and layed an egg to the third. Valuable experience though. East Ham, in it's short lifetime, had never been past the third round. So this team has at worst tied our best effort in the playoffs and won't have to take the long ride home with a loss for these seniors last game.

 

Short EH history lesson. Our school is a mixed middle/high school. The seniors are the schools first class to go from 6th to 12th grade (all grades for our school). Kinda cool for these kids I think.

 

With that being said: GO CANES!!! Send Marshall County home with their tails tucked!!!!ðŸ˜

From what I watched the other night, I say Marshall. Too many weapons and depth. We have watched the Posey kid develop since grade school. It's his time and he has the resources to go to. As someone said earlier the reps, the reps, the reps. Osteen has worked this young man to the bone and that's what it takes. To peek as a team in that 7th or 8th game and then make the long run into December. Osteen will get the ball to his playmakers. Now before all the EH people get in an uproar, I know nothing about your team. But looking at your strength of schedule I say Marshall beats you. Lead I think your next problem will be Geenville. You haven met BVDevil from Greenville yet on here maybe you'll get the chance. Greenville/Marshall in the semis. Memphis East Vs Greenville for it all. Lead best of luck pal but that's the way I see it.

Why would they bring a convoy of FANS? They are not going anywhere, they are playing at home.

Why would that be something we would like to know? Because they put us out of the playoffs 3 years ago? That's supposed to mean something to us 3 years later? SM panthers. About the beginning of the third qtr of this game it was reported Stone forfeited the game. Maxxxi preps even has it you all forfeited at halftime. Then the broadcasters reported something happened at the EH vs SM game but were unsure of the details. Was also reported there was a fight. Then I heard from someone at your game that it was four qtrs of ball with EH on top. Rumor mill? What Happened?
