But SWO's is so hypocritical that it kind of makes my skin crawl. He has sat on his lofty perch and cast dispersions upon all who dared question the system. His hubris came from knowing he held the greatest advantage in the state and he believed he could not be beat, even by the privates. So he would dismiss those that thought the system was flawed as whiners. Then little ol Peabody stepped up and SWOs world came crashing down. He must have asked himself, "How could this happen, we created a fool proof system to dominate the little 1a schools?" Then he fires up the computer and starts taking shots at Peabody, I guess if the Philistines would have had the "T" they would have got online and complained that David was really not the toughest Jew Goliath had faced

Objective? you're not too sharp are you 1962? The part where SWO talks about "his reasons" is his admission that he is not objective. The reason he is barking about Wayne co being the championship game is to take a swipe at Peabody cause Peabody beat union city. For the last two years SWO has been mr self righteous, chastising those that expressed their sour grapes when they lost, well , now that his team lost he seems quite sour. Sour enough to back an evil private over good ol small town rural football. I could see thru his BS all along.

Kind of a shame that Peabody goes down, most 1a schools that make it this far have an advantage like Union city or the privates. haven't done an indepth look at Gibson county schools but it appears on the surface to be a legit 1a school. Not one that pulls from all over the county or from a city of 15000 folks like UC. The win over UC had to be sweet. Now poor greenback has to face this squad. Unfortunately for greenback the rules will change next year and NCS will be fighting it out in D2. Then UC will be left as a 4a team still playing in 1a , hard to make enough rules to stop all the cheating. #UCbiggestadvantageinstate

I can honestly say Wayne co Peabody would be a good game and there is no clear favorite. the fact that Peabody beat union city says they are capable of playing very good football. The NCS scores can not be used to determine which is better

BigDan was impressed at the coaching staff of Wayne co and the adjustments they made. Had a chance to score another . Peabody panicked and went 5 wide which was a disaster. I think what you are not getting is that had Brothers chose to use Bituli and McGraw the way did tonight you might have still got 21 but they would have had 50. He won both games which is the goal so I guess you cant argue with his method. But its not as simple as NCS didn't play as well against Wayne co and played better against Peabody. He apparently thought he could beat wayne co and not show his best stuff. Since Peabody is probably better than Greenback he turned the horses loose on Peabody. Every drive would have ended in a td fairly quickly had he pounded Bituli. You faced an NCS that was holding back for the next game.

Not an NCS Fan pulled for ya'll last week pulled for Peabody this week. But yes it could have been very different, NCS DID NOT RUN THEIR BEST PLAYER AGAINST YOU. They did against Peabody. Your little guys were tough but would have been trucked by Bituli, I knew coming home that the Wayne co faithful would see this score and think they were better than Peabody. You aren't, had they ran Bituli it would have been out of hand early. Nothing to be ashamed of he is one of the best players in the state. How do you explain them not giving him one carry against Wayne co? its simple , they knew they didn't have to

Just a fact they never ran their best player and still beat you by 14, that would be like Ya'll playing the whole game and not letting Rice touch it. Please, Peabody faced something no one else has had to. Don't say you are better than them when you were sitting home tonight. I would be sorta embarrassed to lose a playoff game and have the other team never use their best player.

once he gets to the endzone they cant give it to him again, that's where he ended up almost every carry , I think he had 5 TDs tonight. 3 rushng on maybe 6 carries

Wayne county never saw Bituli or the score would have been just as bad, Don't sell Peabody short, they got a pretty good dose of him. Apparently Brothers knew he could be wayne co with one hand tied behind his back

Looks like Brothers reads BigDan, sorry Peabody but at least they thought you were good enough to use him. Cant say the same thing for Wayne Co.

Have watched this program since he got there. Absolutely has to have greater talent to win. has not won one game where talent was close or equal. . My houston co boys beat them one year when they were way better than us. He is the proverbial pig in a poke, had a guy tell me once if he would have just handed the ball to Golden Tate he would have won a state championship at JP2. unless he changes and lets his best players determine the game instead of some Playstation offense he comes up with he will lose Friday.

Glad to see a true 1A county school having a chance this year, Great job Peabody putting out the most advantaged school in the state, Union City, Now the question remains, will NCS run Bituli? 1700 yds rushing as a sophmore, 6'3" 230 lbs . It will not matter as long as they keep winning but if they lose friday its going to be a real head scratcher. Running a 300 lb fullback every now and then instead of having his hand on the ground every play on offense is another head scratcher. You can beat little sisters of the poor or Miss Ann's Monkey Tree with this kind of coaching but its not been good enough to get them to finals yet, i suspect that will be the same this year.

Late posting and this thread is about done for, but went to game and my take was Coach Rice was learning and adjusting as the game went on and figuring out what his kids could do to move the football against a bigger, faster more athletic defense. he neutralized the nose guard using 3 guys sometime and stayed away from Bituli as best he could.. made great adjustments and had 2 sustained drives. Brothers seemed to be pulling plays out of a hat just hoping his talent would make a play. WC was overmatched but made it close with smart coaching and toughness. hats off to #20, he gets Timex award

No question to what the outcome will be, NCS wins. The only question is will WC be good enough to force NCS to run Bituli.

You are right you do not need Bituli or Lawless on offense to get to the exact same place you have gotten to the last 4 years. But you will need them to get past Union City. So when you decide the week before the union city game to put them in the offense it will be too late. Union city will beat you running their best 11 on both sides of the ball, running the exact same plays they ran the first scrimmage of the season. while those guys may be quicker and faster (doubt it) there is no play in the NCS play book that is better than giving Bituli the football.and running behind Lawless None. not even one.

Googled Daniel Bituli stats. literally one click and 24/7 had his stats for every year. I dont know why Brothers doesnt run him, i have went to 2 games hoping to see it but he hasnt touched it. My guess would be to keep him from getting hurt since he has already committed and doesnt need to prove anything. Maybe someone from NCS can clue us in. They must have been issued a gag order on the T cause last year they were chirping on here every week.

Good luck trying to convince anyone 49 to 7 was a close game. wow those are some red devil sunglasses you got on. but i like your optimism. 49 to 7. What if they ran Bituli? what if they put #56 on the offensive line? You were given over a 100 yds of offense thru penalties and could not get more than 7 points. I was actually impressed that you got the one TD. NCS had a 100 yds of offense taken away thru penalties and the still scored 49. Polish that turd all you want but 49 to 7 is a blowout

Not an NCS guy, Houston Co resident and my boys have been pounded by them for years. Have a slight connection there and just went up to watch the Tennessee commit. Would have actually like to have seen JB win cause i like to hear the boys fire those trucks up. Once again NCS wins by 42 and their SEC recruit doesnt touch the ball and their other SEC recruit plays 2 plays on offensive line. Flip the script and give your coach that talent and they would beat Union City. But you are right they cant get by union city if they refuse to use their best 11

Without the fat little umpire it would have been 49 to 7 at the half. had to be 200 yards in penalties on NCS and they still put up 49 and JB still only scored 7 points. Feel your pain JB but this game was not ever close.

Rumors were being discussed and you may be right about JB Those are just rumors that are out there. I'm with you, go JB. Big task ahead, that nose guard for NCS is a beast.

the 2a to 3a move was to avoid privates.and ya'll spun it as some courageous move up.Then it backfired when some privates moved into 3a. Then the Lebanon sweatervests started to beat you in 2a and you got the heck out of there I know what the rules are but you were talking about rumors, well rumor has it , that in the past TC had some players from areas other than TC.. Jo Byrns has been known to get a few from Springfield so lets not act like everyone is playing by the letter of the law. I believe you when you say this team doesnt have any outsiders and thats why you will not be a factor in the post season. But Rumor has it those past great teams did have some outsiders
