  1. In my opinion there are some parents that are just looking for any reason at all to get rid of the coach. There are probably kids on this team that if that would have happened to them, would not have blown this thing up like it has been blown up. He was not injured. He played ball in the second half. It was not intentional. But I am sure there are people out there who think it was. It's just something that happened that should not have happened and now it has gotten out of control. From what I have heard there are several players that have come out and are openly supporting their coach in this matter and do not want to see him go. I know you can hear anything in situations like this so I really don't know. I used a poor choice of words by saying it hit the wrong kid. I do apologize for that. I should not have said it. I'm just upset over this whole situation as I'm sure several other people are. I am probably too emotional to be posting concerning this matter. I am sorry.
  2. Number 1. I'm not a coach. I could not handle the stress of being a coach. You all are taking what I said out of context. It would have not been right to hit any kid under no circumstances. I'm just saying it was not done on purpose. That's all. I don't believe he kicked the can thinking let me try to hit someone do you? As far as the paper, if u believe everything you read in the media you're being snowballed. Maybe he won't be the coach next year. If not, I can't wait to hear what u all have to say if we are right back here in a couple of years.
  3. I will tell you how I feel. I think this has blown up way out of proportion. The kid was not hurt and it was not intentional. It was a heat of the moment thing. Period. Here is the deal. There are a few a very few that want the coaches head because they are not happy that their kid don't get enough playing time. That's the real heart of the matter. In my opinion this can just hit the wrong kid. Now the witch hunt has begun. We might even have another coach next year. If we do I hope and pray we can get the rules changed so we can play 22 on the field at once so that every kid gets to play. If not we will be going through this again. Be careful what you ask for. You just might get it. Now what else do you want to ask?
  4. If I am not mistaken the kid did play in the second half.
  5. I am not too "skeerd" to talk. I just think this is a stupid thread. We already know how everyone that gets on coacht feels. Lets move on and talk about some games. And why are you trying to imitate that Roy Dillard man from South Pittsburg?
  6. Finally someone is talking about "The Game." There does need to be some serious adjustments. On both sides of the ball in my opinion. First of all as far as the kicking game. We do not have much of one. Last week our team suffered all night because of it. Seq County had field position all night long. As far as the defense looks like to me we did switch some players around last week, but they have to be able to tackle! The offense was disappointing to me last week. Seq Co. blitzed all night and we did not pick up the blitz like we should have and as a result our QB was under pressure all game. He is a great qb but is a pocket passer. That is his strength. There needs to be a heavier dose of #1 this week. I would let him carry the ball 20-30 times. He can wear down a defense. I have been reading up on Silverdale. From what I am seeing they look to be big but slow. They say speed kills. Hopefully we can out run them on Friday. This should be a good ball game. It is one that we for sure need to win, because the next 2 will be a uphill battle no doubt.
  7. In my opinion we have the right Coach. But the support is not there and it's sad. I will almost be willing to bet that the players we have love playing for our Coach. I might be wrong but I dont think so.
  8. You sound like you know what you are talking about. I hope these folks read this post real good. In response to Maverick: I do not find humor in losing. I hate it as a matter of fact. But I will. I repeat. Never leave before a game is over. I will support them until the horn sounds. The humor I find is that you guys never talk about a "game" which is what these boards "I thought" were supposed to be intended for. Silverdale @ Grundy. I believe that Goat Man has mentioned this before. How many of you really talk about the actual game itself on these threads? From what I see not very many.
  9. The grass might not be greener on the other side. You ever heard that old saying "Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it?" So what next we bring in someone else and start rebuilding? Yeah look how that works out. Then you are another few years away from going over .500. No thanks. The best option we have is what we have right now. We have alot of young players that can play and they will get better and get wins. You can take that to the bank and cash it.
  10. I said that yes. Look I know we have more than 2 talented players. I am not that stupid and I did not by any means mean to downgrade any of the other players on the team. I believe they all work their butts off. I am just saying. There are more schools than just us that have talented players. People here make it sound like we are the only ones with talent and all the other schools are just chopped liver and we dont win just because of coaching. I assure you that is not the case.
