  1. The only way Upperman only scores 27 is if York doesn't show up, Butler stays at home and the O line sleeps on the sideline. The fewest points this team has scored is 41. I would be shocked if this isn't a blowout by the U. I am telling everyone ND fans need to worry about the Coalfield score even if they had a really bad game this is still a single A team that plays both way. Upperman size and up tempo style will wear down ND.
  2. ND line is no where close to Father Ryan or Cookeville.
  3. I think you missed my point. It is not about comparing Gordonsville to Coalfield or their record this season or last and for sure not talking Oregon and their weak NCAA D1 conference. This is about single A in general. I know for a fact that most of the guys on both of these teams (including teams like Greenback, Grace and Oneida) only have on average 30 to 35 players. Which means most starters have to play both sides of the ball and almost all lineman play both ways. If ND is that good and a 3A school they should have had enough players to wear down Coalfield by halftime or no later than mid 3rd quarter. The score should have been easily 42 to 14.
  4. All of this talk about the U's schedule. I looked over ND and it does not look overly impressive. The one that caught my eye was the Coalfield game. Final score 21 to 14 ND. COALFIELD??? No doubt a good solid team for single A teams but really if ND was a dominate team they should have dominated this game. Just to compare these two teams single A games. The U hung over 60 points on single A and defending state champs Gordonsville while ND only scored 21 on Coalfield. I will admit I don't know anything about ND but I will say this if most of their players play both ways they will not a chance to beat Upperman. Their O alone will completely wear the Irish guys down. Also remember last Friday was the worse their D played all year, injuries over the past few weeks had an effect on them this week. By this Friday all players will be back except Winfree, along with Dildine and Ely only playing defense.
  5. To answer your question his sophomore year his first year at qb he threw for over 3,000 yards and rushed for 800. Last season he had a knee injury that cost him 4 games, in six games he threw for close to 2,000 and rushed for over 1,500 yards.
  6. It will be hard for York to hit 9,000 yards. He did not play qb is Freshman year and he missed 4 of the 10 games last season and still threw for over 1,700 averaging close to 300 a game. Truthfully though it really does not matter who is better, both are great and put up great numbers. Everyone needs to layoff Upperman and their team, these seniors when freshman could have never imagined what they have this season. There is no way four years ago that team could have beat any of these teams that they are playing this season. Ben Herron and his staff as done as good of job as anyone could have done, taking a team that only had 19 players then to over 50 now.
  7. For all of you who think Connor can't THROW the ball need to watch this. This is film from his Sophomore year where he threw for over 2,000. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iC5XhX1Vk5M
