Where did I make any comment on this game. I did play for Alcoa, graduated from Alcoa and still have a great pride toward the school. It doesn't take much to get you fans all roused up does it. Name calling and anything else you can come with.

First off don't lie or pretend to old for that. Second of all, tell me how a small county generally speaking have not one but two exceptional great teams. I have been around a long time and know a lot of people from there. I know how the system there works.

I am with you. Really proud of the guys and after what they through their freshman year they deserve this kind of senior year.

Afraid not. Look back on this forum at how many fans from Alcoa have talked about recruiting in Blount County. Its good that your son has this but I know for a fact that most senior classes the last 15 years have not been this way.

I never said Upperman would win or even said it would be a close game. Also I will not be at the game hopefully will listen to it but will not attend. I really thought the ND fans were bad.

Like I said a 3 year starter. Both sides, receiver, safety, linebacker and some tailback in the three years. However, back then we had pride in our school and it really meant to be a Alcoa Tornado. NOw I am just not so sure.

First off Coach Saban walking into any high school player living room and showing off hardware is completely legal and a great recruiting tool. This though is not Coach Saban and Alcoa is not a top University that goes out to recruit. High school sports is about teaching and training young people to compete and be as competitive as they can. It is about taking those kids at 6 years putting them together on a field or court and teaching them to be competitive and how to work together to get the best result. Upperman won that game tonight because most of seniors have played together since they were very small. Over the years they have learned how to win even nights when they have an off night. Last week the d was off, this week the O was off. They had each other backs and they came winners both weeks. That is what high school sports is about. Not going and selling your school and team off. By the way, I am not a Upperman fan or supporter. I have not been to a game all year. But I do know these guys and what they have been through and want to see them do well.

It is so funny a team has one bad night on defense and all of sudden they have a horrible defense. The team has played 13 games. Regular season the d allowed 140 points all season but 47 of those were in the fourth quarter by mostly young players. In the playoffs Grundy scored 20 but 8 in the fourth quarter after all starters were out. The big, strong and fast ND offense scored 10. Only Tyner did they give over 40 points in a single game and that was after two weeks of losing d starters.

The one that held ND to 10 points tonight and if not for one drive in the second quarter which nearly ate up 70 yards and a late second quarter interception they may would have shut them out.

Ah they was just having fun. They put up a good fight tonight. Thank goodness that really bad defense played tonight for Upperman.

No actually a three starter on both sides of ball. Left Blount County when I was 20 years and haven't lived there since. So no my kids don't play there either which is a good thing since I only have girls. I am not a Alcoa trader but facts are facts. They recruit and for TSSAA to allow it to go for so long is a disgrace. What is even worse you fans admit and even brag about it. That is what has turned me away not the school or the pride that I took from the school as student and player. Its the fans that brag how good we are and how many championship we have and then turn around and admit we recruit.

These fans ask a question they will get an answer. Not to fond of these fans. Even you Mountain Troll I could handle than most of these.

Also remember Cookeville High School is here and their enrollment is over 2,000 so most kids in the county goes there not Upperman or Monterey.

opened to only kids that live in Putnam. All kids registered in Putnam County must have a Putnam County address or a parent that works in the school system. They don't have guys come in from out of county to play unlike teams from Blount County does.

No recruiting is not right for any public school. Coalfield got busted for it a few years back and TSSAA came down hard on them. Fired their coach, they had to forfeit every game for the two previous seasons and was not allowed in post season for the next season. Yet they allow for years two teams to do in Knoxville back yard. To me its wrong and shameful. But that's my opinion.

They are from Baxter about 10 miles from Tennessee Tech. That is the game was at Tech field tonight. The school has been around I think since the 1920's.

I am a 92 graduate from Alcoa, I personally know how it is done in Blount County.

No comment on this game. Alcoa and Maryville recruits. Hard to compete against that.

They did do some tweaking to it. Like said not sure if it was rain or if they wanted to try to control the clock. Iwas told last night they had worked all week on it.

Great game by ND. You guys showed that you can play against the U offense. However, I think you should thank the U coaches. For some reason they completely changed the offense from last week. Maybe the rain, maybe they thought they could grind the clock more not sure but I know this they better throw this out on the way Baxter and go back to what got them here
