Thanks for the respect BDP. We're excited to be playing a proud program with rich history in White House. I am a little surprised it's your homecoming game though! I remember Greenbrier scheduling us for homecoming a couple times recently lol.

We have not put together a 4 quarter game ourselves either. Which concerns me a little. Typically we'll get in stride around the halfway point of the season but sometimes we just have a habit of shooting ourselves in the foot. I think this week's game will tell us which team we are. Contenders or Pretenders. We played so flat last week in the first half. We come out like that this week and we'll get too far behind. We can run the ball well enough to beat WH IMO. BUT we can't wait until the second half to do it. We'll see what the Jackets are made of Friday night. I have high expectations myself. Thinking this will be a 28-21 type game.

They returned a kickoff for a touchdown. We've gave up 28 points this year on kickoffs actually so subtract that from your score comparison logic.

I think alot of folks discount us from looking at the scoreboard in the Westview game without watching the film. It was lopsided for sure but there were alot of things to draw from. For one, we held them to field goals a few times. Two, we gave up -14 in the first minute of the second half on a kick 6 and a pick 6. Lastly, Westview would obliterate every team in this region. They are elite.

I agree you have the best offense but I think we have the best defense.

Thank God for the refs or we wouldn't have scored 27 in the 2nd half or won the game.

Your in for a surprise vandy. WH may have Waverly spooked but we aren't buying any of it. I saw yalls game. Your defense was awful once WH became a passing threat. Your opinion is way too high of them because it's way too high of Waverly. We're going to play with and In my opinion beat both of you. I do think WH is pretty good but not good as Page or Westview. We could certainly lose from a bad game plan, turnovers, etc. But to say we are outmanned is either misinformed or ignorant. Also, to say Waverly is on a Peabody level is nuts. Sorry. How do you come up with that?? You're a decent team but Peabody would club you like a baby seal as usual. How did Waverly suddenly ascend to their level? I love ya buddy but I have to strongly disagree with you on both of those ideas.

What does the block have to do with the holding call? It was a blindside block that wasn't even called. The penalty was for holding which was occurring every down in the second half after Fairview got into rhythm. I did hear you celebrating the block over the PA though. Congrats for that. Glad no one was hurt there. The refs were very slouch with spotting the ball but it was on both sides. Good luck to Heritage the rest of the way. You guys are going to have a dogfight for spot #4 with Stewart County.

I remember back when 2-8 Stratford unleashed on all of us in '18 that you were well aware of their potential. Even after you guys thrashed them by like 50 in the regular season. I think East destroyed them in the regular season too and we beat a VERY GOOD East team round 2 that year. Thanks for chiming in brother! Good luck to your Firebirds this week. Huge game.

That's awesome. I think the QB is #9 correct? He's definitely in the running for region MVP. Throws and run very well. I'm not really sure of any of the guys names in metro but i recall last year looking at recruits for '22 and '23 and there were a few from East and Stratford. Hopefully they transferred to Pearl Cohn lol. @FIREBIRD80 @FBfan26 & @EastNasty could probably provide us some insight.

I'm still very skeptical about writing off R5 personally. I definitely think R6 is way up in comparison to previous years as a whole. And I also think R5 is way down from recent years with PCs absence. IMO East and Stratford probably have all 4 playoff teams in region 6 outmanned when it comes to size and speed. Quite a few D1 players on those squads. Does anyone in R6 even have a D1 player? I'm not aware of any. Obviously theres more to winning games than having players with elite measurables but if they get in sync and motivated they are both dangerous regardless of record. Not trying to argue with you. I hope you're right.
