  1. Since you're obviously an Alcoa fan, I'm pretty sure you misinterpreted my point. I was suggesting that there are a handful of middle and west TN 3A teams that could slip in CPAs back door if they overlook them. Maybe you disagree with that though.
  2. I just hope CPA spends all their time game planning for Alcoa. There's a handful of teams that can slip right in that back door.
  3. Thanks. I just checked it out. I think you're right. Assuming they knock off east magnet and Fairview gets by Page, it looks like they'll have one more victory over a .500 opponent IF Goodpasture wins one more game. Lol. Right now they have an edge because Maplewood is 4-4 but they've got Alcoa and Pearl Cohn on deck. So they most likely will finish up 4-6. Go East Magnet! Lol
  4. What is the tie breaker if Fairview and Lipscomb both finish with nine wins, both district runner ups, and both have same number of opponents who won 50% of their games? Thanks for doing this Gerry!
  5. Congrats to the Cubs. They got a shot to squeak in but it's not gonna be easy! Good luck. Sounds like they're playing some ball.
  6. There's ALOT more to quad 3 than CPA. They're the kingpin but Lipscomb is no pushover. Neither is east magnet or Westmoreland among others.
  7. We'll need our share of luck to represent quad 3 no doubt.
  8. Thanks! Yeah I didn't have much to base an opinion on other than you Lewis guys proclaiming how good HC is and how they might make it rough on us and all. I said my money was on a statement game from Fairview and it was 47-0 when the JV went in. "Hind sight is 20/20" So is the view through a nice pair of rose colored glasses.
  9. You'll be the first or second best team in Quad 4 for sure.
  10. Yes we struggled bad against that high flying offense of HC last night that impressed you all so much. They probably got 7 or 8 first downs.
  11. Yeah I hear ya but the problem with your reasoning (in my opinion) is that Lewis isn't nearly as great as you think they are either.
  12. Fairview is 3tds better than Lewis. You don't win again if they played 10 more times.
  13. That's Lewis County jawing. They do that better than they play football. Milan is confusing me but I still wouldn't wanna play em in the 1st round.
  14. Nearly flawless game by the jackets. Would still like to see less penalties but the boys were doing work tonight. I really liked the defensive scheme tonight. Pass coverage was really impressive. That makes me feel better going to Page next week. It's gonna be a tough rivalry game where records seldom matter. We better be ready for a fight. I like our chances.
  15. So if Westmoreland beats White House, they are probably a lock for the 2 seed in quad 3. Am I correct in assuming this since Fairview, Lipscomb, and East Magnet will not be district champs?
  16. I hope we get to find out. One thing for certain, if we make it to that point in quad 3, we deserve to be there! If we win out, I'd think we'd be the 2 seed after wading through 11AA with one loss.
  17. I expect a good game. Hopefully the jackets come out with something to prove after 2 weeks sulking a disappointing loss at Lewis county. If not, Hickman is perfectly capable of handing them another L. My money is on a statement game from Fairview.
  18. Wow that was nice of him. I wish we could have played ya'll this year. As long as it was @ Fairview.
  19. Not really inclined to say about South Gibson but I doubt seriously that Stewart Co wins another game. They've got 4 tough games ahead of them.
  20. Back on topic. Who can tell us about Lipscomb Academy? They seem to be flying under the radar a bit lately on CoachT.
  21. A In the opinion of the AP voters, Fairview is a better football team. That doesn't mean its true alltime. Maybe its a conspiracy!
  22. You might be right. Contact the voters and ask for an explanation.
  23. Understood. AP polls are opinion driven though and I'm sure it's of "popular opinion" that the outcome of that game was somewhat of a fluke considering the penalties and turnovers. I know the Lewis faithful will need blood pressure medication after reading that but that's just how it is otherwise they'd have them ranked over Fairview. I'm not defending one way or the other. As far as anyone knows, Fairview could make the same mistakes and Lewis could make the same playa again if they played again. The bottom line is they played and Lewis won. Which is reflected in the standings. Not to be confused with rankings. Which are meaningless at the end of the day. Btw BPM, I like your bulldogs and fans too. There's not a team out there I'd rather get beat 38-20 at home by.
