Good luck with that. From what I've experienced with the LC faithful on here they just want to hear how great thou art and how dare anyone forget about what they did to Fairview prior to 5 years ago.

Not as much as previous few meetings in my opinion. I think Lewis is nearly as fast or as fast and has the size advantage. Fairview has their work cut out for them but I believe match up to Lewis' strengths just fine. I still contend that this game will come down to who's defense can stop the other teams offense and create turnovers. Fairview is good at shutting down the run and taking the ball away when you try to throw. And their offense is still spread out, fast paced, and unpredictable. They can still score on one play much like recent years. Lewis had several key players out last year and it was more one sided than usual. Fairview graduated several playmakers with lightning speed last year but is still playing like big dogs without them this year.

And not a single player on the Fairview roster has ever done anything but whip on Lewis County. So what's your point? Are you guys gonna dress some 40 year old men for this game? Lewis Co is a extraordinary high school program. There aren't many with playoff consistency like they have shown. I personally give that credit to the long tenure head coach and panther fans. BUT... Fairview has the deed to your current team. Friday night they can take it back if they want it bad enough.

Buttrey is playing at Bethel. So is Tommy Derrick and if I'm not mistaken so is Brian Reynolds.

I agree alltime. Fairview is well aware that Lewis has improved and we expect a war Friday night. No one knows what's going to happen. Much as they'd like to. That's what makes this so exciting!!! Go Jackets!

Wrong about what? That Fairviews defense wins the game? As far as I remember that's the only prediction I've made. If they don't, I'll give props to the offense for winning the game.

Hohenwald gazetteer. Saturday morning headlines.... YELLOW JACKETS SPAY PUTTY TATS 49-0!!! Things were rocking last night at the Lewis county high school stadium formerly referred to as "The Panther Pit". Things sparked quickly for the jackets scoring on the opening kickoff when Senior Nic Harvey took it all the way to the end zone untouched. The ensuing kickoff was a site to see when the returner for Lewis county dropped the ball and ran to the locker room. Fairview picked up the ball and trotted in for their second score of the night. Things got progressively worse for the 5-1 putty tats after that and the 7-0 yellow jackets cruised for the win and solidified themselves as the district 11AA front runners. "We were prepared for a hard fought game and practiced accordingly." Said coach Chris Hughes after the game. Hughes also commented on how proud he was of the Yellow Jacket junior varsity cheerleaders. "Those girls put forth a tremendous effort. When I sent them into play in the second half I fully expected Lewis county to be able to move the ball. I was shocked at how effective those young ladies were." The jacket cheerleaders held the putty tats to 9yds rushing on 11 attempts, forced 3 fumbles, and intercepted 4 passes in the 2nd half of play. Senior standout Garrett Wall quoted humbly after the game. "Lewis gave it their best effort. I thought once in the first quarter that #46 was going to try and tackle me, but he moved out of my way at the last second." Fairview heads to Centerville in 2 weeks to take on the 3-3 Hickman County Bullpoodles in another district contest. AP

Hope it didn't sound like I was dissing Camden in any way. When you guys came to Fairview week one I saw a team that could easily split wins and losses with us. Mistakes like you say, were the difference. I think i just overestimated Huntington a little because of their win over Westview. Trust me, there are several teams I'd rather play than Camden in the playoffs!

There's a nice little joint called the "Junkyard Dog" that has good eats right there in Hohenwald, Jacketman. These LC fellas may know one better but I've been impressed the few times I've ate there. Good steaks.

BPM, tell me about this Westview team. I've heard they're the real deal and they've got some impressive wins this season. But I see where they fell to Huntington early on and Huntington fell handily to Camden Friday night. You west Tennesseans are hard to size up this year!
