If you really think JC can play with Riverdale and Blackman, then you don't have to worry since there's not an A or AA team that can touch them.

Congratulations! It looks like the real Central showed up last night. I think the game against Meigs woke them up.

I'd question whether he's one of the best running backs in the state but if you're talking about the back from Polk, he's a great kid and a pretty darn good back. I'd say Central focused solely on stopping him since he is most of Polk's offense. Maybe Central just had an off night against Meigs, but both games I've seen the Chargers play this season they've not played extraordinarily great on defense.

I attribute the sacks more to Meigs bad play than I do to Centrals good play. Baker held the ball far too long. Central does have one pretty good player on defense named Gage. Meigs got most of their running yards running away from his side for a reason. Beyond him there wasn't anyone else that stood out. Let me say it again, Central was playing a terrible single A Meigs team minus their best running back yet the Tigers moved the ball very well on the ground against Central. Something Meigs has been unable to do except against Sale Creek. Good luck to Central the rest of the way.

Meigs gross rushing was 188 yards, meaning Central's run defense got gashed pretty good from a teriible team. Meigs lost over 80 yards in sacks trying to pass the ball which gave the misleading 100 rushing yards for the Tigers. Other than Meigs only victory over first yr. program Sale Creek, Meigs hasn't been anywhere near 188 gross rushing yards this season. I remind you again that Meigs best running back didn't play against Central. I'm not a Meigs fan and I don't dislike Central, I'm just posting the truth.

I have seen both teams play and believe Sweetwater takes this one. Someone mentioned something about McMinn Central's defense being good? I watched a very poor Meigs team run through them at will Friday night for over two qtrs. and Meigs best running back was injured and didn't even play! I've seen Central more than once this season and I just don't see their defense as being anything special. As a comparison,Central struggled for almost three qtrs. against Meigs (tied 21-21 middle of third) and Sweetwater put Meigs out of their misery quick.
