Well all is quite. First place on the line tonight with Tenn High and SH. Who ya got? West seems like the clear cut favorite to make it out region 1. Boone picked up two wins finally this week. They have been a surprise in the bad way so far.

It is way too early for that talk, you must know something that others do no to bring that up this early.

I'll bite. Betsy will only play when they feel they can win. Not play to get better. In 08 elizabethton shot over 30 free throws to SH low teens. I know because I was there. They did not play after that because SH turned toward the upswing in talent while Betsy dropped in talent. Now that Betsy is loaded they want to play. Len wants to look good instead of truly testing his players. If he does he would have put them up against some nationally ranked teams this year. What does it matter if you roll into the glass house with 4 or 5 or 6 losses as long as you win it all? At least when SH was on the national scene they went And played National talent. This is not a knock onBetsy bc I love when anyone from around can beat the middle tn juggernauts. It is just a fact. Check their schede this year. Yes there is some GOOD teams but not GREAT teams on it. Those girls deserve a chance to compete against the best because they can get it done. I think you could have a 3 peat. But why not see just how truly good you can be against other reall really good teams?

You are correct about one thing....Elizabethton is a great team. I noticed our PG sitting out again tonight. Something must be up. We lost 8 players from last years team with only 1 coming back with any legit mintues. So rebuilding might be a good call. It was a 4 point game with 6 minutes left. SHould be a good game in Feb.

Unicoi lost to my toppers. Look good early but fell behind when the pace picked up.

Why would you think you are not the team to beat? You are coming off a quaterfinal team and return over half if your team with keys players back. The win at THS was very impressive! I do not think Powell is very good. You will roll through D1 this season. I do think our region could send 2 teams to the glass house.

Did we watch the games? SH looked worse than I had thought but still think they will get it together because their coaches expect more than what they showed. Boone from what I saw was a complete team this season. THS looked solid and I think the winner of the league could have 2 or 3 losses which would be fun.

I will keep mine the same. I think it is Boones to lose. Everyone else looks about the same. You be 2nd or 5th if you don't play well ever night. Boone has the most complete players in the league. Big post, shooters, size on perimeter, and alittle speed. I say they see the glass house this year or next. I say when the Phillips kid joins SH from her injury it will boost them a lot though. I still think they are third. Gonna be a competitive year.

It's not off just the talent level may drop this year. I have always heard things come in cycles. It's just someone else's turn. I do hope I am wrong and they win the conference again.

You must not know SH. They will not be the same team from last 4 or 5 years. They only have one player left off those great teams. I say Betsy wins there games with them easily by 20 in the first one and 15 the second. I hope I am wrong but there will be all new pieces to the puzzle for SH

New season. New Game. How will district one shape up ? Same for district 2? Here are my predictions: D1 1. Boone: have the most talent coming back and from what people say a LOADED freshman class. 2. Tenn High: think they are on the rebound. 3. Science Hill: could be lower because only starter back from last year. There run may be over for a couple years. 4. DB: Morrissett will keep them in a lot of games 5 Volunteer: post kid could win games by herself 6. Crockett 7. Central D2 West Jeff Co Sevier East Cocke County Seymour Doyle Cherokee

Bump... Month away from practice. What is the predictions for this year?

BC I did not know that they were working with high school kids before practice started and after the season until a few weeks ago. I thought but was for just younger players. Then my friend Mike told me more about it and the persuasion to get kids to attend Boone. I guess everyone but a few honest people tries to steal kids since nothing ever gets done.

I knew that but this was happening last season and this spring. I am sure it will happening school starts backs too which is a no no

No in Gray at Daniel Boone High School and ran by there head girls basketball coach and his asst. The do it 3 nights a week for a couple hours each night. I am just not sure how they can do this when they are actively instructing during times in which other head coaches can't.

Dobyns Bennett and David Crockett also.

I am trying to find out how high schools coaches can work with their players and others during times in which other coaches cannot. This place basically gets to work with their kids year round. How is that legal?

DB and Crockett are both open. Who are they eyeing? Anybody know? That's the two I knew of.

No doubt the girl from heritage should have been on that list. There were some that shouldn't have been either.

Spring ball a month away. Any happenings in the region 1? Heard rumors of shake up in big 7 with some big names switching places but we will see.
